They really went kind of OP on it though. ( which is good, actually lol. Was actually a challenge )
What with the 2 champions you have to kill twice each because of their auto-refresh on their hp when you kill them once... at one time. And the fact that there's like 219874109287409 veterans everywhere. And exploding headcrabs in swarms. Plus the big ancient one that kept summoning them.
At one point I think it killed all 60-70+ people that were there.
But my server didn't crash until AFTER the event finished xD

I really want to try it, especially since one of my friends is obsessed with it and wants me to play it, too, but... Well, what I can't afford, I can't afford. Let's hope it runs for at least 10 years, then maybe after 8 I can buy it. xDDD;

I don't exactly believe it's what some people make it to be, but it seems it's interesting enough and with new things to offer. To be really able to agree or disagree with all the praising, I would have to play it, though, so I am going to remain somewhat quiet on this part of conversation.

I gave out all three this past weekend (they did invite-a-friend only for the lost shores weekend nov. 15-18th). Only two of my friends actually used them and both of them are buying the game soon. So.. since I have like no other friends (haha, not that sad I promise xD), I'll most likely have extra myself.

It is well worth the money though, in my opinion. To me, it's not just a game, it's a massive work of art. The developers really deserve the money for it. @__@
I rarely ever have money either - hence the reason why I have a crappy computer still, and not a decent one lol - but I managed to have enough to get it several months ago. I've not once been disappointed by it. In fact, it's the one time where I've been more than willing to throw money to a game at all. xD
Hell, they could've made it a subscription, and it would still be worth it.
xD; Sorry about my gushing, I'm just usually very stingy, so it surprises even myself. But I really think it's a masterpiece.

I'm sure in the near future, they'll put in a free trial like they did the original. I think they're just more focused on squashing bugs and finishing the monthly content updates right now. ( Which I also love. A content update as big as the last couple updates every month is exciting. Can't wait until they open up the tengu area. Iwannaexploreit. And Cantha.. I can't imagine how amazing it's going to look. )

Well, it's not about the worth. Some people, me for example, simply can't spend that much on a game. The price of GW2 equivalent in my currency is more than 3rd of my whole family's income in month. So... Yeah. Maybe in 5 years, eheh. ._.;

But I am glad there is some cool and unique game to want. I tried Tera and quite wanted to continue playing it, too, and if it's even cooler, than it got to be quite awesome.

Lol believe me, I understand the money issues. There's three people and 4 animals in this house living on one moderately low income. Just happened to have enough extra that one time, conveniently. xD
And I'm really happy we did.
I just saying if ever you come across the extra by some chance, or they come out with a free trial, you should go for it. ^^
And I'm pretty sure it'll still be around in 5 years. xD The original has been around for 7, I believe.

I also tried Tera a while. The subscription was a major issue for me @__@
So I haven't been able to play for several months, lol.
But I actually like GW2 over Tera because of the variety of things to do, and the fairness of it. And the community. And no subscription fee. xD

Yes, I would never even buy a game with subscription fee. xD; It's ridiculous and quite impossible for me. But as I mentioned, free trial usually only makes the teeth ache by wanting to get the thing/game, but being unable to. xD; So, I will just wait, wait and wait some more. :) But by then, it should be much more stable and everything so it's not too bad.

So I just noticed I completely ignored the one time event that happened.. though odds were that at my characters level I wouldn't have been able to do anything anyway xD

For the event, they bumped everyone up to 80 to do it. And there were so many people there that you would've been safe. xD
Could've followed the crowd and got credit, even. lol

Rose, they really did bump everyone to 80 xD but don't feel too bad I mean you can craft a 20-slot box (one of the rewards), and I really think you could get it very easily if you craft eventually. But don't worry, I think if you upgrade to a cheap 8-slot bag for a while you should be fine :D

all my characters have 8 slots xD my main can craft 10 but eh its whatever lol i normally like going to the events for a mmo but GW2 (and the old gw for that matter) always had me lost x'D
