Have you not seen fans? The ends may be made of harder material, but even when closed the middle stuff is bunched up together. That was what I sliced through. :3

I had like 5 different fans.. one of them made of a shiny aluminum with a real pretty floral pattern on the cloth ono

I have 2 fans now.. one i go recently that is made of wood.. i got it from the nintendo club rewards.. the other is whats left out of the 5 i had.. its a brown plastic with a gold pattern on it then the cloth has roses on it. :3
