It Won't Stop

Not liking it isn't the only issue. Folks like myself are simply unable to breathe well around people that use too much perfume. I can't even count the times in high school where I had to sit out in the hall for a while because some girl decided that class was the place to pretty herself up.

On that note, I don't do makeup. Maybe the occasional mascara or gloss, but only a couple times a year. It's just not my thing. I don't think I've ever bought makeup in all my life, even. What I have had was given to me.

When I think about it, I have fairly little make-up compared to most of my friends, mainly because I'm very sensitive to the weight of it. I cannot wear foundation or anything like that or even lipstick because it feels too heavy and caked on to me. So the extent of my make-up is as such:
3 Wet n Wild brand eyeshadow palettes (3 colors in each)
1 Wet n Wild eyeshadow palette (8 colors)
1 single color eyeshadow Maybelline brand
1 Hard Candy brand loose eyeshadow tube
1 E.L.F brand eyeshadow palette (100 colors)
3 Jordana brand eyeliners (1 teal, 1 purple-never opened, 1 metallic black)
1 Rimmel brand green eyeliner
1 Covergirl brand light green eyeliner
1 E.L.F. brand black shimmer eyeliner
2 Hard Candy brand eyeliners (sparkling gold, olive green)
10 Wet n Wild brand eyeliners (various colors, 5 never opened/used)
2 Revlon Grow Luscious mascara (1 still in package)
1 Revlon lipstain (only used twice)
4 tubes C.O. Bigelow brand lip shine
1 tube Alba brand lip gloss

I have no preference for brand, though the Wet n Wild eyeliners work as good as any expensive ones I've tried. And the eyeshadows I own are barely used as I sort of fail when it comes to makeup. I'm practicing with eye shadow, but I'm just can't decide if I look good with it or not, or if it's too dark or not dark enough. XP
My sister sort of failed at being a sister when it came to...well pretty much everything that I expected really. She didn't help me with fashion or make-up or anything.

I have like a whole bunch of makeup but i hardly ever wear it. On the rare occasion that i do I use la colors because i get it at the dollar store haha. For the most part i only do my eyes with mascara, eye liner and some natural looking shadows. I also use a bunch of lip gloss (whatever my mom gets me) I love lip gloss :)

I wear make-up every time that I leave my house. I don't -need- it, but it's a comfort thing to me. It's a little mask that I can put on, shielding me from the harsh reality of the world. With that mask, I appear at ease and confident in all situations, even if it's far from what I actually feel. The amount of make-up I wear really depends on where I'm going.

I don't have any primers or brushes or anything, I don't do my make-up in a technical way like you should. I use my fingers and keep a stack of wet wipes handy so I can clean as I go. I'm also not a brand-whore. I surf on E-Bay to get deals on make up. Brands I would recommend, however, would be Mac, Rimmel and No. 7. I recently got a pallet of 100 different Mac eye shadows for £10. That's usually the cost of one, so to say I was delighted is an understatement.

Eyeliner is the main make up that I wear. I like to accentuate my eyes as I feel they're my best feature. I use black Rimmel liquid eyeliner for everyday wear. Though I also have some glitter ones (just cheap brands) in liquid form, one of those eyeliner pens (sort of like a little felt tip, but I don't like that much. It's easier to use, but it's too light) and some pencils in various colours. I like liquid eyeliners best because they go on smoothest and have the best colour.

Lip gloss, it depends on my mood. Sometimes I'll use lip stain if I want a dramatic effect (again, Rimmel). If I'm going out, I'll wear red lipstick (No. 7) because it goes well with my lip studs (I have snakebites) and red is generally quite a good colour for me. For bog standard everyday wear, I'll just put on a lip gloss. I have a load of different ones, so it just depends on what I'm wearing and what catches my eye most.

Eye shadow is something I have a lot of, but rarely wear. I only ear it if I'm going out. I love to experiment with it though, so when I'm bored I'll often sit and play around with new looks. Like I said previously, Mac eyeshadow is what I use, and I would definitely recommend it.

I wear mascara all the time too. My favourite one is called Glam Eyes, it makes my lashes look longest. Though to get that "fake lash" effect, I usually put on about three coats.

I never wear blusher, but if I have spots I'll put on foundation to cover them up. In general, I rarely wear that though. The foundation I have is rimmel liquid foundation. It comes in a little bottle. It's pretty expensive, but for the quality it is worth it. However, if I used it everyday, I probably wouldn't buy it due to the cost. I also struggle to get foundation as my skin is so pale.

Perfume is another thing I have quite a lot of. My favourite perfume is So Kiss Me, but I only have a little of that left, so I wear it on nights out. For every day wear I shake it up between Calvin Kline Euphoria, Britney Spears Dark Fantasy, Lady Million and Diesel.

I use DHC Skincare's Velvet Skin Coat for a primer and then Sephora foundation. After that I generally use Laura Geller eye shadows or sometimes a Stila palette followed by either Geller pencils or Sephora's and then Stila liquid eyeliner. Eyebrows are Sephora, mascara is Sephora. Blush is Nars or Geller as is lipstick.

Cleansing brand is mostly Obagi and DHC Skincare.

For perfumes I love J'Adore by Christian Dior and this is also my husband's favorite on me, at least he comments on it unlike any other perfume I wear. I also wear Jasmine Noir by Bulgari and another favorite is Samsara by Guerlain.

I frequent a perfumery by the name of DSH Perfume which has some exquisite exotic scents like Khyphi (smells like ancient Egypt) and many others, all made by hand.
I used to have a sig. Really.

that sounds amazing, i would love to go perfume shopping but i have neither money or transporation, wich is a huge setback on the whole shopping experience. but as of late i have had the fortune to procure some of my friends make-up/perfume wich was fun

she had that new moose foundation from revlon that on that emma stone is in the commercial and its actually pretty good its light and airy but it is difficult to choose the correct shade for lighter skintones

she also had a few purfumes from vitoria secret
i really liked the angel one is smelled like flowers and honey

I barely buy makeup, I use cover up occasionally but my complexion is pretty good and my eyelashes are pretty long naturally but I sometimes use mascara to make them thicker. I don't wear anything else.

How much makeup do you have? i have a drawer of really crappy makeup which has been collecting since i was about 10, which is why i dont use it.
What brands do you use/suggest? not too sure, sorry. :/
How often do you wear makeup? What specifics (eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadow, lipstick, etc.) do you wear? sometimes i wear mascara and cover-up, and sometimes i fill in my brows with eyeshadow.
Is there any makeup/perfume you'd like? i'd love to own some foundation, eyeshadows, lip stain/stick, perfumes, etc but i cant find a job so i cant really buy anything in general. :/

I actually don't like a lot of makeup on a girl and if she has to, barely there.

I will steal her nail polish on occasion however.

I have no idea Shohnightingale I'm sorry :( You could try asking a beauty consultant?

Does anyone like nude/clear nail polish? I think it looks simple and sophisticated but hardly anyone I know likes it.

Shohn, are you trying to conceal major things like tattoos or serious birthmarks or just in general for your skin? If you want the former you need to talk to a Ben Nye or Meron person about tattoo cover, it's a specific thing, and it can cover up the darkest marks. If you want just in general concealer I prefer a few brands, including Ben Nye, but I cheat and mix it with my moisturizer to help it settle in better without running later.

and I love all nail polishes, though I hardly wear any now. I like the nude ones for when my nails are all different lengths and it just looks odd to have the tips show white really brightly on some. Clear I tend ot use more on nylons than my nails....seems a waste to use if I'm not topcoating another colour down.
I've gone to look for myself, if I should return before I get back keep me here.

Yeah that makes sense Fey. I don't wear nail polish very much anymore but I've been getting back into it recently. I've put clear nail polish on and I thought it looked alright, but only with short nails. I have long nails that really stick out (in fact I need to trim them before painting them on Saturday) and I do agree, the white tips looks funky when my nails are different lengths. I'm actually going to do a pale pink color now that I've thought about it to give more of a girly feel. Maybe I'll do my toenails a little bit darker pink.

I used to wear a lot in high school, but I stopped in college. Seems like a silly thing to waste time on in the morning.
