If you didn't know some facebook pages are gone and people are wondering why I found this to clear the air a little but still what do you guys think?

I think two things on this matter:
1) Facebook needs to get over themselves. More people network with false names than real ones since businesses will google potential clients, employees and partners. It's all well and good, but it makes people paranoid so they use fake names. The general 'purpose' of facebook is maintained; people network and share and do all the things they wan them too; but they do it in a way that will not bite them in the butt if they drunk post.

2) People that are going to have a false name of FB should THINK about using things that actually SOUND like a name. Yeah, fine, everyone does it, but seriously, not one is going to mistake certain words as names. Be smart about this and do things in a way that you won't get your knickers in a twist if things do fall down. You ARE in violation of the TOS, so you are at fault. I'm not saying don't do it, I'm just saying be smarter about HOW you do it.

Also there was this whole scandle with subways facebook page. A lot of pages hacked it and posted very um... inappropriate pictures of people doing things with subway sandwiches and such. So a lot of them were deleted for being apart of that.

There are a lot of pages for anime characters and cartoon characters. I would know because I am a fan of a lot of them because they post funny things. I wish facebook would stop deleting them or banning them for an ammount of time because it all that does is cause them to make more fake pages. It gets ridiculous because facebook keeps banning their accounts so they make 5 more just in case. Its causing itself more harm than good.

So that's whats going on.
I know friends of friends who got a lot of their accounts removed and everyone is pretty pissed.

If my account was removed, I'd be pissed. I'd lose pictures, saved conversations, messages and a lot of things. It'd be too much work to go back, add every friend, re-upload every picture, etc, etc. They'll be losing a lot of members if they do this.

I'm actually not surprised about that, some of my friends have been talking about how profit and the value of facebook...

good chance my nephew's account got deleted because he's what 2 YEARS OLD, my "sister" made a facebook account for him when he was 6 months old. it's getting to the point where in order to exist we need a fb account like government issued ID.

I understand having a second account for privacy issues so your workplace finds unprofessional material that can risk employment; however in the terms and service individuals under 13 cannot have a facebook account, as well as to duplicate an account for a child of their is just annoying to me.

one of the security measures they put into place if you have a phone number attached to your facebook account is either get a text from them for that account or put a photo copy of your government ID and that is just plain ridiculous! why the hell do they did your ID? its not even a government website that really irked me the wrong way I wish I could have gotten rid of facebook completely then but Thats pretty much the only way to get ahold of me so I have to have one sadly
