Well, if you can stand to watch stuff on an itty bitty 3DS screen and not get headaches, then how are ads on online manga sites that much different? It seems to me like your eyes adjusting to the tiny handheld screen would be more strenuous than advertisements.

reading words only to have this flashy thing pop up and catch you off guard every 10 minutes eventually giving you a headache

vs watching an anime where nothing strange that you aren't expecting pops up..

*its why i couldn't watch livestream when fen used that site, and why i hate watching tv shows off youtube xp* Pop up ads and their horrible flashing gives me a headache.

by using the "how can you watch stuff off of a DS screen and not handle annoying flashing pop ups" is the same as saying "how can you play a video game on that" .. easy =w=, nothing flashing pops up to give me a headache.

and it's WORSE when its one of the ads with SOUND!

Why bog my main hard drive down with add ons and crap when I have a perfect 40GB hard drive sitting there to have downloaded manga on it <3

The AdBlocker won't take up that much space, and it will save you from countless headaches later.

I don't play handheld games very often because they do give me headaches. Those little systems are not meant to be used for hours upon end. They are meant to be a temporary time killer, and they can be easily replaced by a SuDoKu book for two bucks.

If you're spending that much time staring at screens, maybe it's time for a little more human interaction.

Another reason I download.. when I don't have internet at home.

See.. I HATE the out doors. I don't like human interaction unless it's via text. there for the internet is my home. but I don't spend every waking minute on it. I watch tv and I learn dances.. or at least try too.

I prefer downloading my manga. 1. you can print it out. 2. It doesn't give me pop ups. 3. when i manage to save up for one, i can put it on an ereader. until then the 3DS is what I'll use. (compairing it to the iPod Screen, its huge >.>) 4. when i have no net and feel like a manga that isn't on my shelf/in america i can turn on my PC and start reading one.

ouo I don't stare at screens all day thank you :p I take naps and read books that i have. I don't have 'RL friends' because I don't trust people. I don't like people unless it's via internet where they can't harm me.

Dislike of people and the outdoors is no reason to not go out and experience life! I don't trust people either, but it's a hard fact of life that people do exist. Whether or not they can be trusted is irrelevant.

People on the internet can and sometimes will hurt you. That's because they are still living, breathing, real human beings on the other side of the connection. Just because you aren't seeing them face-to-face doesn't make them any more or less trustworthy than the person behind the checkout counter in the grocery store.

Yes, people you meet in daily life might hurt you, be it physically, mentally, or emotionally, but that's no reason to shut yourself off from the world.

If you truly dislike people enough to the point of wanting to cut off all human contact, then the whole 'only over the internet' excuse makes zero sense whatsoever. We are still people. If your fear of humanity is that deep, try living off the grid for a while. You'll get desperate for any kind of human contact after a while, even if it has to be with live human beings.

Most of the time we may seem nice, but all of your excuses for why you won't do certain things is beginning to make me, for one example, rather irate. I don't like dealing with other people either, but I get out and live amongst them on a fairly regular basis because it's part of life! Unless you live in a cave somewhere using primitive neanderthal-era tools to hunt, kill, and cook your own meals, you are going to have to deal with other human beings.

Don't give me the 'I have allergies' excuse next. I have allergies, too, but there are places you can go where that problem stays at a minimum, such as shopping malls.

If you try to pull the 'I have no money' card, I'm not going to buy that either. It's possible to find a job, even with a disability, but you have to talk to people! If you get to know your fellow man, things will fall slowly into place. Sure, the pieces might not fit quite right, but at least you'll have all the pieces so you can sort them out to make a pretty little picture.

Yes, human beings are horrible creatures, but they're -we're- a part of life. There's no reason to shut humanity out of your life because ,unless the unlikely event of an apocalypse comes to fruition, you're stuck with us.

Reyo.. everyone is different. I have my problems due to my past. When I say I don't like people.. I physically can't stand being near them. Meaning I get so stressed out I get ill.

I DO go outside.

but I don't see what ANY of this has to do with my perrefferance to downloading Scandilations via getting headaches through ads on the online readers..
I have other reasons to download them.. LIKE taking them with me to read.

I hate the outdoors but I do still go out. I go out grocery shopping, I go donate plasma, I go out when ever Chi and Annie come to visit me.

But I do have times where I would like to sit down somewhere and read manga that isn't even out in america yet other then scandilation.. and during those times I'm not always at a PC.. LIKE when I go to PA and visit with people who believe I'm a waist of space.

(They think this NOT because i read manga.. My father is a horrible person (who should have his dick cut off and shoved down his throat. and they hate me because I'm his child. It's actually where my screen name came from "The child of that Demon" hence Demonskid. They hate me because I don't dress or act the same way they do. they hate me because I'm bisexual. they also hate me for not beliving in god.)

So to get away from all of this I just sit down and do something. If i don't 'feel' like playing a game or drawing.. i do something i feel like doing. =/

Why did my preferance become some big argument anyway? Can we get off the topic now and be friends again? To each their own. I prefer downloads for more then just the reason then the headaches the ads give me. You prefer to read online. I like hand held games, they give you headaches. No one is going to be the same.

Fine, whatever, but I still say an AdBlocker for your home PC would be a good thing even if you can't take it with you. It'll give you a more diverse range of things to read when that one guy comes to visit.
