Nic took awhile to think over what Laurel said. "... I don't know what you want unless you ask," he explained. "... If you don't want to lay in bed, then where do you want me to carry you?"

Laurel had curled up into a ball. She sniffed again as she turned and looked at Nic, her eyes were a little misty, "Will this happen... every time?" she muttered. She hated feeling helpless.

And with that something snapped inside of Laurel. She grabbed a pillow, chucking it at him, "HUH?!" she shouted, "I feel like you physically beat me up, I'm hurting and vulnerable as terra right now and yet I still have to demand the simplest things from you! I don't like demanding things from anyone, I don't like being helpless! I thought you knew that about be already!" she spat, throwing a second pillow, "So I'm so sorry if you think I'm being unreasonable or if you think I'm too emotional! I'm so sorry but I just gave away a huge part of myself and you could never understand how that feels!" and with that she burst into tears.
