Donnie watched a few people trail by walking. This place reminded him of what he would read in books or watch on T.V. The horse and carriage, the few old cars that only the wealthy had, the poverty yet nice places. The people walking almost always looked at Amelia and Donnie with odd, questioning looks on their faces. They really needed to fit in here or they were going to be quested a whole lot which wasn't good.

"How strict are you on... not so nice deeds?" Donnie asked Amelia. When he was younger he had acquired a trait or two that would be useful in obtaining money when there wasn't much to be done. "I can pick pocket these, 'chaps', as I believe they would say,"

Donnie hadn't knew Amelia too long, but he wasn't sure on her standing point on everything. She was nice and shy, smart, and more. Stealing would be the quickest way to get some money to hopefully get some clothes that would disguise them some and maybe a place to stay for the night until they figured out what was going to happen next.

Amelia raised and eyebrow to the not so nice deeds. "Don't speak to loud but what is your plan?"She felt a small smile build up as she was finally getting to do something with him, something more like teamwork. "But first what do you have in your school bag? Any money in there? Maybe we can do something with it. I think i have about twenty dollars on me. I don't think my aunt could let me leave the house with out at least thirty and what can i say i like my coffee in the morning." She with held her laugh at he own joke and scrambled around her bag looking to see if she could find her wallet any where. To her luck she found, with the money there. "Maybe we should try and buy something first before we steal. Now where is a store and what do we want to buy?" She looked around and saw a few places that looked interesting. A clothing vendor, jewelery vender, food vender, and other venders of sorts. Amelia's stomach growled once more reminding herself that she was hungry. "We can try and get food, maybe see what they have on this weird place?"

Donnie watched as people went by, still staring. He lightly pulled on Amelia's arm to guide her into walking while she was talking. They needed to get slightly out of such a populated area while they decided on what to do. "I can pick pocket pretty well," He said in a whisper as she was going through her bag.

Donnie looked at the money and the place they were in. "Let's go ahead and keep that money for later. Right now I'm pretty sure that our currency won't work here. It's just an assumption, but a decent guess,"

Amelia had a good idea with the money but what would happen if they tried to buy something with the wrong money? The people might think of them as beggars and call the cops on them. They also didn't have time to get a job. The best they could do was get an odd job here and there. That would take a little time though, and they needed a place to stay tonight. These streets looked like they wouldn't be too friendly after dark.

Amelia nodded her head. "Then lets do this. How do you want to start this?" Amelia didn't really know how to pick pocket, her family was always rich, so there was no need for stealing, when she could have almost anything. She decided he would be good on his own. She didn't want to leave him but two people next to some one is a bit more noticeable then one person. "I guess i should start looking for a place for us to stay. I'll come back when I know the amount for the inn." She grabbed onto Donnie shirt, giving it a some tug, then let go. "I'll be back in a bit. You shouldn't be hard to find." Amelia smiled and started to head towards an inn she saw while they were going through the crowd.

It seemed a bit dirty and not that exciting, but she figured it would do for the night. She walked into the pub and walked over to the bar. It felt like everyone was watching her. Was it because of her clothes? "Hi. How much is it for two to stay here tonight. We just need one bed." Her cheeks became warm with the thought of sleeping in the same bed with Donnie. The old man turned around and stared at her long and hard. It felt like she was being criticized. "I hope it's with a man." With this being said she blushed even more, but nodded. " Where are you from any ways?" The question seemed to ring through her head as she tried to think of something to say. She then remembered Donnie and how he answered it earlier. "Over seas..." The man gave her another look over before saying that it was only about 3 pence. Amelia was now glad she didn't try the money thing. Donnie was a very smart person. Amelia nodded. "I just have to go get my boyfriend and we shall get a room for the night." Her face redden even more with the word boyfriend slipping out of her mouth. She turned and walked out of the door, feeling the rest of the pub's eyes following her.

Once outside she took a deep breath going in she didn't much notice how stuffy it was, but the semifresh air made all the difference. She looked around and saw a clothing shop she wanted to go and looked around in there just to see what the fashion was of this place was. One her way though she spotted Donnie and went over to tell him of the price. "I'm gonna head to the clothing shop right there, maybe people can keep their eyes off of me." She gave a weak smile at that one, she hated when people would look at her in that way. She was just another human being trying to live life. "Feel free to come with." She forgot to mention about the boyfriend thing with the inn keeper.

While Amelia was out searching for the correct rooming for them, Donnie went to work. First he just continued to watch a few people go by. He paid attention to what most of the normal looks of the people were around there and what that meant to how much money they would more than likly have on them. When he was young he was smart, much like he was now, but his talents were used on things like this, and less about school.

Finally an appeasing man walked by. He looked wealthy enough to spare some change without himself knowing it. Donnie would never steal from someone that looked like they themselves could use the change. He knew how it felt to want so he would never want to hinder anyone else anymore than they already were. Rich people had enough to spare. The male was in a nice suit and walked with the high and mighty strut like he was about to go meet a pretty lady, or heading to somewhere to find one. He walked like he knew everything which Donnie doubted was true. It was this boasting that led him to the man.

Donnie messed around in his bag for a bit before going up to the man. He could do it the whole 'sorry I didn't see you there and ran into you' but he had a different idea. He pulled out a few small bag that looked like it would hold small stones, money, or something else small. Then he ran up to the man, spotting what he wanted almost right away. "Sir... Sir is this yours?" He said in a small polite voice.

The man, still in a boasting type stance looked at it grubily and shook his head. "No, of course not. I would never carry around something so... odd," He said commenting on the purple and red pouch. He then looked at Donnie, the question of where he came from on his face.

"Sorry sir," Donnie said. His hands had already done the slight of hand business while they were talking and the man was eyeing him curiously. "Over seas," Donnie answered his eyes then walked away.

Once Amelia was back, Donnie agreed to go shopping with her. "I have a decent amount. It feels quite heavy. But don't worry, that guy seemed pretty loaded,"

Amelia smiled at the pouch of money. It warmed her soul that Donnie was so cool and she was able to be with him. They walked into the shop and Amelia was over whelmed by the amazing clothing that was there. It looked like she was finally going to be able to wear the big poofy dresses she dreamed of wearing as a child. She glazed upon all of the dress like they were the best thing in this world right now, she didn't even notice that the middle was almost nothing. A few moments later she spotted her dress the one she wanted to get, to make everyone not look at her funny. It was a long deep red dress that just called out to her. She wanted to try it on very badly. A lady came over to Amelia and asked her about the dress. They spoke few words, but Amelia must of said the right things, for the lady scrambled to the back and started to pull out things she was going to need to put on before the dress.

They pushed her to the side so she could get dressed up in the outfit. It was all very exciting until she had to strip all the way down to just her panties. At least they let her do that in private, for she figured out quickly she was going to need to hide her bra. Once that was over with though the shoved her out in the open. If Donnie looked just right or decided to really try to see her, he would. She tried to cover her b sized breasts as well as she could before they started to throw clothes on her and take measurements. They also stared at her funky underwear but Amelia refused to take off her boy shorts underwear.

The first thing they gave her was a slip. It was light and silky to the touch. Then the corset. Amelia has worn modernized corsets before but she saw nothing like this. It looked like a hour glass. They started to put it over her body, her finally being able to cover her breasts in clothing, but she felt as if she couldn't breathe. It was too tight. She started to gasp for air, but they didn't fix it. "It's too tight." The girls just laughed at her. "You are acting like you never wore one of these before. This one fixes just right." She ran off to get the other layers they needed before they put on the dress. The petticoat and the camisole were next and after that it was the bustle and the underskirt. After all of this it was time for the real dress. Amelia started to get worried that she was trapped in this outfit forever and that she will die in it from lack of oxygen. Once the dress was on though she felt much better about everything. She got to see herself in the mirror it was beautiful. She looked like she could have come right out of the Victorian era. And then it hit her. Things started to fall into place about where they were. Everything wasn't all there, for she didn't much know about it, for history really wasn't her strong point, but all this seemed like the nineteenth century. Though she has never heard of a pence before. Maybe alternate universe?

She walked over to get in better view for Donnie to see her in the dress. It made her waist seem smaller and her breasts a cup size bigger. She was unsure of what he was going to think of her, but she could only hope that it was good things. "So how do I look? Not horrible right?" She gave a faint smile and slowly turned around for him to see that the bustle made her butt looked bigger as well, giving her the hour glass shape of a barbie. "If you like it maybe we should get it? And something for you too, since we are both a bit out of style." She blushed only hoping that she got to see him in one of the suits that were on display.

Donnie figured that the people dressing Amelia wasn't in top shape of privacy. He knew he could probably get a nice look at his friend from a different perspective then friend, but he refrained from doing so. For the most part he respected females. And she was respectable so he would be so to her. Instead, he took a look around at the male clothing. There were lots to choose from, though most were just not his style. He like flashy, but not too flashy. He was a picky male when it came to clothing and he was okay with that.

When Amelia stepped out he smiled. She looked quite amazing in the outfit. It looked like she was ready to go to a Halloween party as a Victorian Mistress or something. He could just imagine what he was going to look like. She was a very attractive girl and even more so in the shapely clothing. Donnie didn't see how females could deal with corsets, though. He liked being able to breath and from what he had read and heard, corsets could be a pain sometimes. "I'm sure we can afford it and me an outfit as well. Then we should also have enough for a night... maybe two at an inn. If we don't figure things out soon though, I will have to get more money," He whispered so the ladies would not over hear him. "Also, you look stunning,"

Donnie walked over to the men's section and was escorted around by the ladies. The clothing industry wasn't very man oriented so he wasn't sure any even worked there. There were a lot of ruffles and frills so he chose one that didn't have them. Donnie felt quite awkward with the ladies making him get undressed. They barely even left him for a second to get undressed. He was then rushed.

Donnie finally stepped out in his suit and tried not to laugh at how they looked. They looked normal to these people, but odd to themselves. He turned to pay the women the amount the required and took Amelia's arm to stroll back outside. She would have to lead though because she knew where they were staying the night.

Over Coat, but open.

Amelia enjoyed the fact that they were starting to fit in a bit more into this strange world they have fallen into. She was beginning to become happy. She nodded her head and started to blush. She looked stunning to Donnie. Her mind trailed off in her own little world, as the ladys dragged and pulled on Donnie. When she came to Donnie was already in an outfit. Her eyes became huge and her jaw dropped a bit. "It looks dashing, Donnie." She loved his new outfit.
One of the ladys spoke up. "That would be 35 pounds please." Amelia was amazed. Was pence more then pounds, if so would they have enough to stay even one night. Amelia was worried, but Donnie paid the lady.

He then turned, taking her arm, leading her outside. Amelia was still worried, but talked in a low whisper. "How do you know what the pounds look like? Do you know what a pence? And is it more then a pound?" Her eyes showed worry, though she still lend him to the inn. It only took a few moments still the shop was close to the inn. She took him up to the counter and the old man turned and saw that it was her again. "Now you look more like you are from here. Though this place looks a bit dirty for you if you can afford that." The man grumbled, but didn't do much else. He was cleaning a glass with a rag. Everyone's eyes were still on them. Amelia didn't noticed much before that they all looked like hard factory workers, having a drink after a long day's work. Amelia didn't care though. It was a place to stay and that is all they wanted, besides food. Amelia was still hungry though the corset over came her hunger pains. "Well I still saved you room. Here is the key." The man turned and then handed Donnie the key to their room. It had a piece of paper tied to it with wire. The paper said 4. "That will be 4 pence." Amelia thought she remembered him saying three, but that didn't matter much, now knowing that a pound was more then a pence, by a lot.

"Actually I don't really know. I've just been paying strict attention to everyone around us," Donnie said chuckling. So far they made an okay team. He just hoped they didn't run into anything too serious for them that they couldn't handle.

The place they were staying was cheaper, which was what they needed. Most of the people in there were gruff and hard working. They probably worked hard, long hours in maybe factories close by or a mine. He wasn't sure. Donnie nodded at a few of the men drinking and took the key. It looked like it was a pub as well as an Inn. Maybe they could find out some of the information they needed?

Donnie turned over the money he requested and then led Amelia upstairs. He was nervous about how some of the men admired her. It might not be a problem, but it actually could become one.

"I think we might be able to find some information out here, ya know?" Donnie said as they entered the room. He tossed his bag on the bed. He silently noticed the single bed, but it was about all the would have been able to afford for a day or two.

Amelia Thought on his words about finding information out. She never thought of where to even start looking for the professor until now. " hmm that sounds like a good idea." Amelia set her bag on the floor and went to go lie down on the bed. Her dress was already becoming annoying. "Do we have any plans for the rest of the evening?" She remembered once more about food. "Do we have anything to eat tonight?" She wasn't a very good cook, but if they needed food, burnt food was better then nothing. Where she was going to cook the food she had no clue.

Room 4 included almost nothing. A bed, a dresser/closet, a screen, and a small room for the toilet. No shower. Amelia sighed. All she wanted to do right now is relax and take off that darn dress. Today was a big day, but they seemed to have got nothing done. "Maybe a drink would be best right now?" She preped herself up on her elbows and looked at Donnie. They could do unpacking later.

Donnie nodded. They should probably discuss they're stay with the owner of the inn/pub. He supposed the man could actually be of some help... assuming he could barter the right conversation with him. The places wasn't very nice but he assumed the owner got a lot of... shady business and might have some ideas of what they could do to stay.

Donnie then had the most random idea as he looked at Amelia on the bed in her dress. It wasn't that they would have to sleep together. Hell, given the circumstance it was natural. The thought that randomly just struck him was her corset. "Don't take this wierd or anything," He commented in her direction. "But you're going to need my help to get some of those... garments off, more than likely,"

He could already imagine a blush rushing over her face before he finished.

Amelia didn't think about how she was going to take off the clothes let alone be able to put them back on. And thinking that Donnie was the only one to take her clothes...off, made her red hot in the face. She didn't know what to say or what to do. It wasn't like she didn't think of him in that way before it was just weird that it had to be in that way. She was embarrassed and wished she never bought the dress. "Let's go get a drink then." Amelia got up and started off to the pub down stairs, hoping the alcohol would help them take the clothes off later.

Down in the pub Amelia order some whiskey, and sipped it slowly. The burn was great but she was enjoying since she hadn't a clue what her mind was going through. She enjoyed being with Donnie but she didn't understand the other feelings she had towards him. She liked him as a friend, no more, right? She shook her head. No she must not like Donnie if she did what would become of their friendship. She asked for another drink, trying to lose herself in the harsh liquid. "I think you need to slow down miss." The old man had the same look on her as he did before. "Oh, sorry. Just trying to relax that is all." Amelia gave a half smile and kept drinking her drink. The bartender wondered what was on her mind but let her get off easy this time.

Donnie couldn't help but notice how much she was drinking and thought he was clumsy of him to actually have thrown out the thought he had about her clothes. He was the guy that many women would swoon over and she was the cute lady that men would fret for, given the chances. He, honestly, had taken those chances before, but she seemed much more... reserved than he.

Donnie kept his eyes and ears open around the pub. A man came in with a lady on his arm, him much better dressed then her and went to one of the rooms upstairs. They more than likely ordered the room before they even landed in this... dimension or whatever it was. Was that how him and Amelia looked? Did they look like they were eloping, or rather he was paying for her? Then again, who wouldn't look at them funny. They didn't resemble or even sound like the people around them. Either way they were going to be noted about being different. Even so, he also heard other things. Namely things about a strange woman coming into town about a month ago and a group of... alchemists? were finally caught and being tried soon on their crimes. This strange woman-- red hair.
Donnie would make sure to relay the message to Amelia at a more promising time, which would be when she was less intoxicated.

Donnie also decided that in the morning he would talk to the owner about them staying there. He noticed that later the place got busier and was sometimes quite the mess. He might be able to work out something with him.

It wasn't long, though, before Donnie's mind trailed back to Amelia as she was ordering some more Whiskey. They both had ordered the same, as it seemed like the best thing on the menu at the place. He watched her and chuckled as she was truthfully denied and recommended to slow down. Her face was already getting a little red and flustered from the drink, and he was sure it wasn't the lighting. He doubted it could be his presence either. Donnie was the kid that was nearly flunking due to his own problems on being on time or caring. She was sweet and smart and pretty. Did he make her nervous, he wondered.

Just to make fun, he ordered another drink, and was allowed to do so while she hadn't been able to.

Amelia scrunched her nose at the fact of Donnie getting another drink. She make sure the glass was empty and asked again. The bar tender looked over at Donnie before refilling her drink. A look of wondering if she was allowed to drink this much. Amelia didn't much notice or care, She just didn't want to remember much of that night. Not once her clothes were off. Maybe the alcohol would let her figure things out in the long haul.

She spun her stool around and stared out into the mass of people that just happened to arrive at that hour. A glass after dinner? she thought. She looked at all the different people. Some had fancy clothes, others had grubby clothes. What she didn't see was many females. There was once and a well a common whore, but that was about it. Amelia thought it weird. And what made her then, if everyone else were whores. She thought about it a bit but her mind trailed off as the alcohol was starting to hit a bit harder, she never really drank before. She started to think out loud for a bit; "So Donnie, how are we going to get more money? I don't think we should" She looked both ways and spoke in a lower voice then before; "keep up what you are doing." After her words were said she looked back and forth once more to see if any one was chiming in, though she did it more because she enjoyed the feeling of moving back and forth, not to see if some one was really listening in to what was being said. With that she drank the last little bit of whiskey and asked for more. AT this time the bartender didn't even look at Amelia, but looked at Donnie. "I don't think your lady should be drinking this much. Lat me know when you want her to stop." He waited for Donnie to give him an okay to refill the glass. That is when it hit her, she told the bartender that they were together and didn't mention it all to Donnie. Her eyes got big and was trying to determine what was her next move. She didn't want to blow their cover, but didn't want to embarrass herself in any way.

Donnie sipped at his drink, only feeling some of what he assumed Amelia was feeling right now. Her movements were slower and she she seemed quite occupied with her thoughts. He could also see it in her eyes.

His eyes passed over to her and then his hand scooted her glass away from here and to the bar tender. "I'm sure she's had enough as well," he commented. She still seemed flustered as he took another sip. Amelia must not drink much. Then again she was pretty small so it would affect her more over all.

Amelia Marie Diederich

When Donnie pushed away her cup she felt a little betrayed. "Do i really not get a say in this?" She scoffed and looked away. Amelia's feelings seemed to be everywhere, she didn't know what to do with them. She thought about just going back up to the room and pouting or sitting there watching Donnie drink and not say anything to her. She sighed still not knowing what to do. She just sat there trying to make up her mind. At least she got to be with him. She tried her hardest to think of the positives that were going on at that moment. She was with Donnie, alone, and they were on an adventure. She didn't have to deal with her old life, or school any more. Though now she missed those things. Why can't there be a happy middle ground? She rested her head on Donnie's shoulder and tried to make herself happy, but she could feel the depression sneaking back up on her. Normally she would just try to ignore it but every once in a while she couldn't control it.

The tears started to build up in her eyes and all she wanted to do at that point was cry. She took a deep breathe, trying to control it the best she could, concentrating on just breathing. It didn't work. Nothing was going to work, now. She just had to wait until it pasted. A tear fell down her face and onto Donnie's jacket(or shirt), making it wet there. She sat up and whipped away the tears on her face. She then decided not to show Donnie this side of her, since there was no need for him to be worried about her. Not much he could do to help her, since she never truly knew why she was so upset in the first place.

She quietly stood and walked back up to their room.Once she got out of sight of Donnie the tears started to stream down her face. All she could was hold back the sobs until she was face down into a pillow.

Walking back to the room a hard working man blocked her path. Amelia was in no mood to say anything, more or less because she wouldn't be able to control the sobs once she started to make noise. "Hello. What has you so upset?" His voice was gruff and his body was huge. HE towered over her, not making Amelia feel any better about herself. "The guy you were with wasn't paying you enough?" A big smile came over his face, as Amelia started to realize what was going on. She tried to push pass him, ignoring his advances, but he just kept blocking her path. "Where do you think you are you going?" He grabbed Amelia's wrist, Letting his muscle use full force on her arm, making sure she wasn't going any where. A small squel gasped out of her lips as his fingers wrapped around her bones, not letting go. "That hurts..." She tried once more to pull away, and failed. " You are coming with me." Amelia didn't know what to do. Was this how it happened back then? The men just dragged whomever girl they wanted to their beds to make them feel good.

He started to walk, dragging Amelia with him. She started to yell out Donnie's name, but the man snapped around, and his large fist went into her face. The pain was so much she started to get dizzy, even more then from the drinks. Her body felt like it was giving up on the world and she felt like she deserved this in some way. Her feet barely held her up any more, making her wrist only hurt more from him dragging him.

The bartender perked up thinking he heard some one yelling, and was ready to lay the beat down on one of his drunken costumers.
