Yes they did.. the japanese company that pulled their licenses.. was one of the main ones and slowly layoffs started to happen and tokyo pop closed.. they still do 'some' stuff but not much

I read about it in the "uze's Yaoi corner" thread and then did a search.. I loved Tokyo Pop stuff until I read about how they messed up on Get Backers

here is some info on why.. most of it is speculation and rumors but why else would a publishing company pull out their license other then they werent happy with how sloppy tokyo pop was and how they didn't translate it right
