I HATED pink for the longest friggen time.
Until I DYED my hair pink. And now? As long as its a certain shade, I kinda dig it. xD

i did my hair pink a number of years ago. in 2015 i did it purple.... and then in 2016 i did blue and turquoise. when i washed the bleach out of it (before the blue and turquoise went in) - there were pink highlights... probably from the purple. which is weird, since i'd done in black once the purple started looking not so hot. XD

Colors that are deposited onto your hair generally stay there.
So if you're putting one color, over another color, its literally just that-- covered up. I've had SO many instances where I didn't use a color remover, or bleached out the color where the previous color just stuck around. xD

Even right now, I decided to go red for a little while, so I can grow my hair out and allow my hair a rest from bleach damage, that when it starts fading, the grayish-purple I had underneath comes through xD; So the ends look like this crazy volcano ash red color.

yeah, that makes sense. i did it black to cover that orangey 'my hair's been bleached and now the sun has made it icky looking' color, and the purple poked through, so i had 'purple highlights' coming through the black. so when i bleached away the black, the bleach had made the purple a hot pinkish color. actually i think it's kinda cool.

i kept dying my hair dark after brady turned it orangey pink but the dark just kept leaving me and the orangey pink kept coming back. never again.

i also had dyed a streak in my hair teal once and the teal left me with a blond streak and people kept complimenting it like that is how it was supposed to be.
