hello again!!!

i set myself a reading challenge every year, which is to read more books than the previous year. 2017 was the first year i did this on Trisphee, (i had a great time! thanks Moonshadow!) and i've been hosting this since 2018. it's great fun ... so here we are again!

so, (snagging from previous threads), set a challenge for yourself: read 50 books, read only the books you have at home that you haven't read yet, read a specific genre, read only non-fiction books... whatever you choose.

Your first post should contain your challenge, and use a spoiler to indicate how you are progressing in meeting that challenge. i use a spoiler for my booklist. =)

And while we're reading, please feel free to chat about books, your day, anything!

if you ever have any questions, go ahead and post it. the only silly question is the one you don't ask. :D

Yay! I have 1 done and I have a nearly done audiobook that I didn't quite finish in time for last year that I could probably finish soon. Gotta work on updating/setting up my book list post.

Edit: Have updated the post. It contains the full list of book challenges from my library, which anyone is welcome to try or even just pick a few that sound good. And I will denote the challenges I've completed with corresponding colored stars on both lists.

well, my current book fits for #46. Set in a Place You'd Like to Visit; and #47. Takes Place in a Foreign Country: Better Left Unsent takes place in England, and that's been on my bucket list of places to visit since i was in high school.

and I'm sure there'll be several books for #14. Book From a Series ;)

I'm trying to knock out the hardest ones for me, so I found a short audiobook that will count for current events and then I mainly just need to find something for mindfulness/self-improvement and maybe something for anthology/collection. Everything else shouldn't be too hard for me to figure out books for.

Yeah, usually me too, but with this challenge, if I don't get the boring "homework" type categories out of the way quickly, I might never do them. xP
And do I HAVE to read all 50 books? Not really, but it's fun to try and maybe expand my reading out of my usual 2 genres. Lol.

But once those books are done, I will pretty much just read/listen to whatever and fit stuff into categories. Have been making up a list of books that covers multiple categories so I can just read them all and then tetris them into the list. XD

I've got a decent list of...mostly re-reads to work through just as soon as I finish my "current events" book. Lol
Though some of the re-reads are to refresh before getting caught up in a series.
