(I know the chicken and the potatoes would not finish at the same time, but since we did not put it in a lot earlier it would take forever to finish.)

Dark was surprised at how well the dishes had turned out knowing his oven could be finiky sometimes. Dark and Alexander carefully placed the dishes on the table. "We should carve the chicken and stir the potatoes now. It might take a couple minuted before the food is at a temperature it can be safly consumed at."

he nodded. he did not know these things and so it was easier to just do as he was commanded to do. he fetched the knife from the sink and washed it off carefully the handed it over to the other

Dark took the knife delighted when he noticed it was the right on and carefully cut the chicken up. Steam rose from the chicken and Dark was pleased to notice that his seasoning had evaporated like it was supposed to. "Cooling should be done in a couple minutes, in the meantime we have cheesy potatoes." Dark through Alexander a grin, "I'm assuming you know how to eat chicken and use the utensils?" Dark trailed off not actually knowing if Alexander did, but he had recognized the cheesy potatoe recipe.

he laughed, he could recognize 28 settings and uses for silverware. 'for sure but if you'd like to feed me i would not deny you' he grinned cheekily

Dark was blushing, he was sure of it. He did not trust his voice at the current moment but he had to try, "This... is the... um... best food for that." Oh, why did speach fail him, and why was he so easily embarrassed. Dark quickly served himself so he would have an exuse not to talk.

he was not sure why but he felt oddly pleased with himself. there was something strangely pleasurable about seeing his lord blush and squirm. he grabbed the ladle and served himself as well, he only too small portions of either, not sure of what would be needed. he sat across the small table and ate his meal in silence, the other seemed happier to not be disturbed and so he left him to his eating. it was not too long into it though that he felt grateful for the silence, he never before had any concept of taste, the berry in the woods was like water with just the lightest hint of berry compared to this. he wondered if all things here were like this, life saturated. he smiled, it was a good experience and he was glad for it.

though he had only half as much they finished around the same time and dinner was packed and put away and the dishes washed in companionable silence. as the last cup was dried and put away he broke the silence with a question 'what now?'

"I have work to do now." Dark said. "It is rather easy but tedious, it gets the bills paid though and that is what matters. It is all online so if you need me for anything I'll be right there."

'oh' he said 'i see' though really he did not, the sentance made no sense to him though the intent behind them was clear -i am busy go away- he understood this. he did a half-bow and left the room, he went back to the livingroom and sat back at the couch, he saw his book on the sill near where he was reading before, he picked it up and looked in it 'it awoke abruptly from it's dreaming' it was his first thought. he continued.

Dark sat down at his computer and finished his work quickly, it was rather easy. All he did was monitor a couple corporation's bank accounts and make sure no one was stealing from them. Sometimes the perpertrator actually masked their sent but usually they assumed no one checked the acounts daily to watch the balence. Dark after checking his normal two for after diner went to where Alexander was and saw him reading the book. "Is that the one that kidnapped me and returned us here?" He asked.

he looked up blankly. he did not register the words spoken instead he stood, leaving the book on the couch he came over to dark and cupping the boy's face in his long fingers gave him a chaste kiss. he stared hard into the boys eyes and did not let him turn away. the blush told him as much as a thousand books. 'you do not know it yet but you love me.' he read it clearly, the pages all spoke of it. 'and i love you' he dropped his hands to the others chest were his crystal still lay. 'i am meant to love you and noone else. even if i knew how i could not. i will never leave you' he smiled then, sadly. 'i was a fool not to see when it was put in front of me and i would be a fool not to see now that i know how to look.' he went to his knees then, as he had when his life reset and began to be lived for this one beautiful soul. he took his lord's hand and kissed it. three kisses three wishes and one meaning behind them. he understood now where he stood, where they stood. he understood everything now

Dark was suro\prised at Alexander's forwardness, that did not mean he was not enjoying it slightly though. Dark knew that if it had been left to him it would have fallen flat and flailed. Dark knelt with Alexander and wrapped his arms around him, words would not do at this time. Dark hoped that his prensence would be enough of a reassureance that Dark was aware of his attraction to Alexander even if he was not sure it was love yet.

he reveled in the contact the other offered him, he accepted that this was his answer and that no words would ever cross over to him, but he was ok with this, though he had words in abundance himself he understood now that the other was a man of actions and would probably never have need to change. he was alright with that.

Dark felt the calming presence of Alexander and was glad to see he did not need words. He knew Alexander was a man of words, pun not intended, but he himself was not. He felt content to stay there for a while more but wondered idly if Alexander wanted to move or not.

Dark looked up shocked yet not at Alexander, "You can hear my thoughts?" That should have been disturbing or revolting but Dark was not feeling anything like that. Dark looked back and remembered several times something similar had happened but he had brushed it off as coincidence. Well that certainly made communication easier.

'am i not supposed to be able?' he was confused, he had done it on several occasions prior to this one, or was it that he did it outside of the book, maybe the lines of communication was one of the things lost. he wondered briefly before dismissing it, he would not make anymore mistakes. 'or is it that i should not listen anymore?'
