My power goes out a lot, or at least it did. One snowstorm my power was out for 4 days, it was stressful. I have a generator thank god, now I have one that goes on automatically. That is very handy.

we don't have a generator, but a lot of people around here got one after Hurricane Sandy. (we didn't lose our power, but one of the days our cable was out. that was it)

The main thing here is that its cold. So when the power goes out and the house gets down to 50, ouch! One night I had to sleep with a hoodie pulled up and a coat on. Those days are over thank god!
