Default Crashed (Funkie and Birdy)   #1
Two beeps were heard as Jackie woke from his nap. The plane recently shook from turbulence, or it seemed to be that way as the oxygen masks fell in front of his face.
"Remain calm and brace yourself for emergency landi- BOOM!" the plane shook again as his voice was interrupted and his seat belt strained as he seemed to fly from his seat. He nearly hit his head on the seat in front off him as the voice cut off into static at once. The guy next to him looked as though he was knocked out when he looked but before he could reach for the mask in front of him the plane shook again, and Jack's head hit the chair in front of him as he blacked out.
Jack's life flashed before his eyes and faded into the coloring of the seat in front of him. But looking around again, he was no longer in the plane, or no longer seemed to be in the plane. As he slowly unbuckled his seat, he fell onto the window of the plane as he realized that he was in a piece plane that flew from the original aircraft. Jack couldn't understand how it happened, but put it to the side for the time being while examining the guy next to him. The man was dead, blood leaked from the ear that faced up. Disgusted and horrified, he trembled at his corpse and sat down, resisting the temptation to curl into the fetal position. He couldn't believe that such a thing was happening. Since that day, three years ago, he hadn't even seen a corpse. Tears grew into Jack's eyes as his instincts brought him to his feet and started to run away through the sand...

he came to groggily. one moment he was chatting up some online hottie named poggio and the next he had a headache to beat out anything and some bozo had the lights on too bright. opening his eyes he was met with clear blue skies, sitting up straight he was overcome with vertigo and had to press his hands to his face. when his vision stopped swimming he looked out and regretted it. several yards away he could see bits of bodies and plane in the shallows and on the sand. he screamed

As Jack heard the scream, he ran even harder, but to no avail as he tripped over a piece of wood, or at least that's what he thought it was. Along with the pain, guilt swam through him for no apparent reason as he looked up to see more pieces of the plane, fire was visible on one piece, but he didn't see anyone over there either. He was tired. Everything was too much for him to take in as he felt like swamping where he stood. His tears stung his eyes and made him feel even more pathetic... He didn't want to stand and save anyone. He was scared, and nothing scared him more than looking for a life to save and finding a dead body instead. He didn't want them to die, but he didn't want to find them dead either... He didn't know what to do as his adrenaline ran dry and pain lashed into his shoulder. He writhed in pain.

he screamed until his lungs gave oud and he let himself fall back into the sand, nothing changed because of his outburst and in it he realized that this was not a dream or a fantasy or an illusion brought on by bad food. he shivered before whispering a near-silent plea, ".....help"

It seemed to have been a good hour before Jack got up, letting his arm go limp to minimize the pain. The strength of the fire in the distance had not changed, as he walked on further. He couldn't avoid seeing the corpses in their seats, but even as he knew this he couldn't help but nearly gag every other time he saw one.
He wasn't sure where the scream from before came from and hoped that he wasn't walking in that direction, even if it was a man in need. By now, Jack thought that he would be dead, and his corpse only just rotting. He didn't know how much time had passed. Wandering on, he looked around to see who was still alive and figure out what had happened, now that he didn't feel as though there were any immediate dangers to him.
His fear was realized when he saw that mostly everyone was dead. Whether they were spewed out in the ocean or impaled or made victims of other sorts of unfortunate ends, nearly everyone was dead. He was about to cry as nearly tripped over himself, choking on the smoke and sand from when he tripped.

he had already gotten over the immediate shock of his bizarre wake-up call and had begun searching the beach-line for signs or habitation though the lack of attention given to the wreckage of his plane didn't help the sneaking suspicion that he was alone

After about what seemed to ten minutes of walking, Jack's legs got tired. He bent down and threw up what was left of the plane food that he hadn't already digested and wiped his mouth. He couldn't speak, not even to himself, nor could he think his thoughts out to himself.

Walk on. Find others. Don't look at the dead ones.

His thoughts were monotonous, if not plain. He found a crate at one of the final pieces of the plane, the tail, and sat down. Now resting he thought about what he had just seen, the bodies, the plane, the fire, the sand, the sea, the puke, the blood...and he cried silently, forgetting to wipe the tears as he left his arms to rest. The cloudy sky started to rain a little, and it couldn't have been better timed, in Jack's later opinion.

Jack looked up, and saw a man walking towards him, wearing a brown hoodie and jeans, and a shoe as well. He was soaking wet, but that didn't stop Jack from smiling. Even with his khakis, collared shirt, and under shirt soaked, he could help but be glad that he wasn't completely alone, that he didn't completely fuck up in what he set out to do. He waved to him, leaving his other arm resting. He wasn't sure if it was broken or just bruised becuase as bad as it hurt, he had never broken a bone before.

when he saw the hand a wave of relief washed over him and he hurried over. upon reaching the person his face fell and the joy left him "oh fuck, please tell be there are others here..." he put a wet hand to his face and scrubbed it with the heel of his hand. the loud braggart from section i was his only help. "kid, look, for the love of dick please tell me you are not the only one here...please?"

Jack's smile faded, as he asked the question. Of course he'd ask the question that had been bothering him the since the crash. He turned his head towards the wreckage, and then back to him. "They're in the plane, but I don't think they're alive." He bowed his head down in defeat, and he was serious too. He hadn't bothered to touch many of the bodies, whether he thought they were alive or not. The fact that they were unconscious made him want to look the other way.

he muttered a curse under his breath for any deity who happened to be listening "ok, ok, fine i am stuck here with a little kid who thinks he's a tv persona...i can still survive this" he put his fingers to the bridge of his nose "do you know anything about outdoor survival?"

He remembered the boy scouts; he remembered gaining that eagle badge a few years ago more of less. How much did Jack retain as helpful? He wasn't sure.
Keeping the rain out of his eyes, he looked out. The terrain wasn't entirely inhospitable. The was a large area of vegetation only 60 meters away from the water few trees that he recognized almost immediately, and a few others that he had never seen before, which wasn't surprising considering that he had no idea where they crashed.
"Enough," Jack said while still looking out. He got up and started walking towards the emptiest piece of the plane that he remembered seeing. He was too tired to even try finding shelter in the forest/jungle area, so he was going to settle for getting shelter in the plane. Most of the seats fell out, as he remembered, so it would be likely to have the least bodies, or (he hoped) no bodies at all.

he ignored the other in favor of taking stock of this abysmal situation. most of what he knew about survival was useless without any tools. no knife meant no shelter, no flint meant no fire, no wire meant no fish, no bait meant no food. he let out a ragged sigh. at the very least he could search the wreckage for something to catch the water with

There was one body in the near empty part of the plane, which Jack feel sick to his stomach, but he ignored it to the weariness that kept him from caring. He moved over to the other side of the piece of the plane, and curled into a ball, the sand felt cold, and ill fitting, so he yanked a seat cushion from one of the seats and used it as a pillow. It felt strange. They were normally suppose to be floatation devices, or so the attendants have always said. Now it was his pillow, and for many others, the last seat in which they were to sit. It made him shiver. Nonetheless, his weariness took over and bade him to sleep.
