Vampire Books | #1 | |
I read alot of Vampire books, but currently I've run out of books to read. I've read Vampire Kisses, The Morganville Vampires, Interview with the Vampire, and a few others. If you know any good vampire books, please let me know.

Not a good technical vampire novel series but the Blue Bloods novels are good. Different idea of vampires at least

Definitely read the rest of the Vampire Chronicles (Interview with the Vampire's series). There are other Anne Rice stories you'll have to read to get full context on everything (such as The Witching Hour and its sequels), but they're worth it. All of her main series writing is worth reading if you like her style.

Actualy, I can help you with that one, since I've read them not long ago :
Interview with a vampire The vampire Lestat The Queen of the damned The tale of the body thief (or something like that) Memnoch the Demon (or devil, I actualy forgot, because it was the one book that took me like 2 months to read because it just wasn't good to me.) The Vampire Armand Merrick Blood and Gold Blackwood Farm Blood Canticle As far as I know these are all of them, or I missed some. There's actualy 2 more, Pandora and I forgot the other one, but I'm pretty sure they are in another serie. If someone saw I made some mistake, don't hesitate to correct me and telling me I'm an idiot. I don't even

Yep, that's correct.
Interview with the Vampire The Vampire Lestat The Queen of the Damned The Tale of the Body Thief Memnoch the Devil The Vampire Armand Merrick Blood and Gold Blackwood Farm Blood Canticle Merrick, Blackwood Farm, and Blood Canticle include characters and plot from the Mayfair Witches books, which are, in order, The Witching Hour, Lasher, and Taltos. They're worth reading for more than just context. They're also amazing books in their own right.

Nope. The Mayfair Witches books aren't about vampires until they start to crossover, which are the three that I mentioned (Merrick, etc.) and those don't actually count as Mayfair books anymore. She also writes erotica and books with strong religious undertones. The thing about Anne Rice is that her presentation of religion is a story element rather than a preachy one, so I'd never call her writing religious in nature. You'll find many allusions to Christianity and other/older religions in the Vampire Chronicles (especially Memnoch, which is a very literal walk through Hell, so the religious allusions are expected), and they serve to enhance the plot. Reading what she writes is what I can only describe as porn for the mind. It's so mentally stimulating and engaging that you always want more than she gives you and it's almost painful to put it down. I hope that you enjoy the rest of the books. Interview with the Vampire was honestly the least powerful book she's written outside of her erotica.

I tried Interview... couldn't do it, though being around 12 at the time might have had something to do with it. I know that The Vampire Lestat can be hard to find in used stores at least, as it seems to be one of the more popular books of the series. My mom has most of them but we are/were dillegent used book store goers.
I haven't read any vampire novels myself, besides I, Strahd: Memoires of a Vampire (read three times). I like the book, though I've been told it's fairly similar to Dracula, though much shorter and much less dry. My sister really likes the Sookie Stackhouse novels, which are apparently the ones that True Blood is based on. Can't recall the author though but I'm sure google will help with that.

the Cirqu Du Freak books are really good :3 and Amelia Atwater-Rhodes has a few vampire books out there. Her writing style and stuff is meant for kids around 13 but they are good stories Demon in my View and In the Forests are my favorite ones of hers.
