Do you have any? I have my MOM.. she doesn't know a THING about any kind of technology other then how to work a Fridge =/

She got herself a papershredder. she likes shredding stuff. Well the thing said it shreds plastic cards as well. She left a CARD stuck to a piece of paper and put it through the shredder.. Now it's jammed to all hell.

You tell her "do it like this do it like that' and she doesnt listen x.x,

OH she also got these free cell phones from the government for emergancy use only. She gets our house phone disconnected, uses up all the minutes on the emergency cell phones (only supposed to use 25 -30 minutes a month so they keep it active) to the point where her doctors can't get a hold of her. OH and when someone texts her she freaks out and goes "what do I do how to i save this?" =w=, why get something if you aren't going to listen to me when i show you how to use it... really x'D

And another thing that involves technology. TV show graphics.
I showed her stuff from Kamen Rider V3 which was made in the mid 70's. She tells me "we didn't have stuff like this back then" so I show her the Batman TV show which was made it the mid to late 60's .. so she starts up an argument about the Duke and Eastwood and how they used 'real' bullets in their westerns.. and how they used real explosives. I had to tell her:
1. They used Blanks not real bullets
2. in westerns.. yes they COULD build a REAL building just to use real explosives to make it go boom because it was in the middle of NO WHERE.. on kamen rider and batman they used miniature models to make it look like it went boom because it was too close to other buildings and back then it was too dangerous to make stuff go boom when it is close to other things. xp

and she's still fighting with me. =w=, I think i like today's graphics better.. just tell her that those monsters are real and will come after her if she doesn't listen =w=, now a day the graphics are mostly computer generated <3

She doesn't even know how to work the PS2 properly. I mean, she knows how to use it, play games, save and all that. But apparently turning it on is the hardest part for her. xDD;

Both my parents are like that...then again my parents are...fiarly old lol my mother is 50 and my father is 68 so....yeah phones and computers are not for them lol

I feel pretty lucky. my mother and especially my father is pretty good with technology. My father builds computers even. My mother knows how to use the internet and plays minecraft pretty easily even. she doesn't know how to fix a computer when its down (except you know restart it) but when its actually broken she then as no idea. (divorced parents) but father is pretty good at it.

My sister and I used to have to teach my dad how to use the computer at home every other day. Like, he'd ask how to do something, we'd show him the process, and the next day he would ask us how to do it again. It's funny but really annoying. Older people have a hard time learning new things. By my dad's age, your brain is literally starting to degenerate. Not that they can't learn of course, it's just a lot more difficult.

My mother and sadly one of my sisters is very similar to her with computers

it drives me crazy

it took forever to teach her how to turn on her computer and she tried turning my computer off with it, while I was using it for class work....
she still doesn't boot down her computer and yells for me to turn it off... just lets it go to sleep mode until she can do it herself anymore
sister doesn't like using her computer for anything won't try new websites that she didn't know of before high school
it drives me crazy
I think I was nearly kicked out of the school library because she wouldn't listen that when the computer was shutdown that she'd be logged out of the computer.... -_-;;;

I'm shocked that these two can't seem to understand/listen to information about it, when my grandpa in his 70's knows how to use it better than they do...

my dad is technologically behind because he chooses functionally over fashionable, he has the same phone for the past 12 years...my mom just hates computer technology because her job works around them everyday.

However my mom grew up with little to no electronics since most of the money went to either the bills or food for 2 parents and 8 other siblings.

Now with me I've been on the internet so often that I know the lingo of internet like 9gag and 4chan and the rules of the internet XP

@Bella: so he's a pecker, one of my uncles is like that. And my mom is a three finger pecker, and I do have traits of being a three finger pecker.

@Venya: My mom is a computer consultant so she creates software programs so she know her technological into a software like C++. I just know the gruesome parts of the internet and the basics of the internet.
