Don't get me wrong i've been using it for two years now and generally satisfied. But here are two complaints I have for it:

1) (minor) When I enter a particular song or artist for a new station please START on THAT effing song/artist! :mad: This way I can put a thumbs up on it. Unless that is a given I can't be particularly sure since I generally never even see the song itself on the radio with the frequency of all the other songs that play over and over again. This is frustrating. For my station of "The Prayer" by Celine Dion it took me 3 hours to finally hit that song. It hasn't played again except by other artists that I don't feel like hearing. I want to hear the effing version I click and made the effing station for you effing MORONS!

2) (major) I dislike growling/roaring screamo in my music and I also am not a fan of rap. But when I click thumbs down on a song that has it I get MORE songs with those qualities instead. It takes several more clicks of things I like to drag their appearances down so it's not to often. So while i"m trying to do that I can't even click a thumbs down on the rest. -explodes from anger-

Yes I am fuming vehement and if I wasn't censoring with "effing" I'd be swearing more frequently, creatively, and in ALL CAPS. Pandora is great but its stupidity aggravates me just as much as advertisements on youtube every other video. Thankfully it's not that frequent on there anymore. I hope Pandora realizes how irritating this particular part of their service is.

ps 3 songs have played while I typed this. 2 out of 3 having growling/screamo in it. So out of the last 5 songs only 1 of them actually had the musical qualities I'm looking for from the OTHER songs that played and I thumbed up while I'm giving a thumbs down to each of the other 4. Retarded...oh finally! A song I like just started playing.

though i personally never use pandora, i use you-tube and people i know for music

haha thank you Choco. It's good to laugh after venting so much anger like I just did. True I probably could get one in there. But the temptation to put that in all caps is too tempting. I'll keep my hands folded on this one.

The good thing about Pandora is it usually hits what I like spot on (it's just when it repeatedly plays songs similar to what I don't like I have issues with) and I don't have to keep a playlist or go back to the window to click something else to listen to. I prefer it for these reasons cause I'm online for hours at a time I don't like having to divide my attention to choose the next song.

ah, i see, it would not work for me, i listen to the first few seconds of a dozen songs, find one i like and then play it for a couple days then add it to my list of music i own to be played when i want either that specific song or a mood like it

Ah I see. I cannot just...NOT listen to a whole song unless I'm tired of it. And listening to it like you say is one way for me to tire of it. For awhile I hated "Fake It" by Seether because I heard it so much. We've reconciled since then. heh p=

Youtube is a good way to break the pattern of songs I listen to and find something more new. It's also better if I'm in the mood for translating songs as well. Spanish particularly since I do have a rough understanding of the language.

i personally like pandora its good for discovering new artists cuz come on listening to the same song you have on your iphone/ipod/android does get annoying and i understand how annoying the looking for a particular song is thats why i look up things based on artist or band name, also keep in mind it is called pandora " RADIO " not playlist.com so the site functions as the name implies.

1) They make a station that relates to the song you picked and they don't have any songs. Deal with it. It's FREE. You want better? Go get a subscription to something. I'm just glad they have any music that's Japanese

2) It's FREE. Stop complaining...unless you're willing to pay for it. Be glad there is a place that isn't be some Nazi shit (like Youtube) that'll let you just listen to the music. Also, you can rate with stars or a number a believe to be more precise.

I still personally think they should start on the song or artist first. Just the first song. It would please me so much. The plethora of swearing for the "minor" problem I have with Pandora is because I wrote that after the major one when I was completely worked up xD;; So that's why I seem more ticked off over that than the major one just so everyone knows. ^-^;

You are right to point all those things out as you can't truly glimpse into my mind...I hope. O-O" In case you really can't delve into my mind: I hope you realize I really am VERY happy with their service. The ads are reasonable and thankfully actually quite sparse in my opinion. And all of the above that was just mentioned by you and Nightfox. I agree. This thread was honestly a way to vent those frustrations and see if there was anyone else annoyed by the same things about Pandora as me.

I agree on the ads -stabs youtube- Too bad pandora doesn't have BUCK TICK! -flails-

And mine did start on the artist....but I put an artist instead of a song. When you put a song (which I can't remember if you put the artist or song) they try to pick like songs and since they aren't youtube....they can't just play songs that you pick -shrugs-

I never liked Pandora, I would rather just tune into the radio station of my choice xD
