What to do? | #1 | |
this morning I woke up with a persistent twitch right above my left eye, it's been twitching for over 2 hours now, and I'm not sure what to do about it...
anyone else have this before or know things that might help 3 hours now... and head feeling numb... with a slight headache on right side, along with my leg... hmm... no longer a problem... or so i thought, it gave me a break for and hour and then started off and on hurting more took a few things thinking it would get better and also moved around some the twitching is mostly just annoying but I'd like to find a way to get it under control since, I need to take a test tonight, doesn't want to be irritated due to twitching nerves I'm pretty sure it is due to stress along with people in my house not paying attention to what they should do when parts of the house are falling apart -_- and due to me taking a summer class didn't expect to have 3 to 4 quizzes per week along with a test every other... it might of not been as stressful if I didn't have to teach myself though... but yeah... figures I may have this problem all summer, so anyone know ways to reduce stress so the twitching will stop .

I think you should go to the doctor just in case because the numbing sensation does not sound very good D:

I get that whenever I've been extremely stressed for days on end - and it will last for a few days to a week. My grandma has me put hot compresses on the area so it will stop. If I look in the mirror I can see it twitching D:

Check your fluid intake too. I know from person experience that dehyration can cause cramps and headahces, particularly around the eyes for me. I have a hard time remember to drink enough water properly (as in something other than tea) because of having to restrict fluid in take for so long. Waking up the next day I can feel absolutely aweful. It gets worse when I'm stressed out too so that's always a possibiliy for physical discomfort too.

Winter: heat helped some but still had a problem this morning... feeling it more in my arms at the moment though
Quiet Man Cometh: at the moment I do not think that is the problem I've been making sure I get plenty

I have had my eye twitch for several hours.
I have not found a way to control it though. Sometimes rubbing the eye / holding it to stop the twitching helps relieve it for just a short while.

You could try a bath? I would possibly ask a doctor about it.

dragoness: tried that, only helps sometimes other times it really doesn't matter
winter: actually a nice warm long bath is very calming which helps ^-^ Neirra: I kind of don't like the doctor... and no I haven't really looked around myself for another doctor... since parents are the ones who'd pay for a visit... and no one else in the area takes the insurance my family gets...they had already checked for me earlier... hmm I think the weather and stress is more likely the problem, I can take care of the stress but not the weather, it is extremely stormy here, it seems even my cats are feeling ill, hugs kitties, it keeps going from hot to damp cold feeling

My right eye randomly twitches sometimes...
Usually it's stress related. Or I've stayed up wayyy too late. ♥

Neirra: it is kind of a come and go thing
it switched eyes on me... Holly: yeah I'm almost positive it's from stress and maybe some of not being able to sleep, people keep waking me up if only I could keep my kitties in my room, they make me so sleepy, purrs (wishes my room wasn't so close to my sister's and her allergic reactions)
