Hey everyone. I've been absent for awhile but now I'm back and go figure the night I come back crap happens to me.

Let me put it simply: I tried to get a job at Denton County Police Dept. as a Communications Officer I. I've applied there twice before and when I finally put an application in for this job it looked very promising. I got passed preliminaries I never had to go through before! lo and behold, I waited two months for a reply. They sent me a generic e-mail saying how they were sorry but I didn't make it. NOT EVEN AN INTERVIEW! THEY HAD TO PULL THAT STUPID RECORDED RESPONSE No. etc on my ass like a lot of people like to do these days! It even had a link to try again. Try again with what!? All the other applicable occupations required me to either be an armed forces veteran or have experience in a better paying position. GYTAQAAAAAAAH!

I'm tired of this..had so much hope in that job I even prayed constantly for it. Now it's back to square one......

It sucks that you can't get to the interview stage. At least then if they come back and say 'no thanks' you can ask for ideas on what you might do to improve.

I had applied for a job at lowes last year. Waiting... waiting.. And like two weeks later all I got was a automated email saying how they were sorry I wasn't accepted. To try again. And a few others things.

I really hope you can find a suitable job, Random. It's not enough to just work, the really important thing is being able to do something enjoyable to you. And I hate it when they don't even give you an interview :/

Thanks for sharing my pain everybody, it really does me a world of good. Serra, you are definitely right about that. I know I've gotta do everything in my power to find a job that I can feel passion for. The one I'm at right now pays me minimum wage with not enough hours. AMC Theaters. It sucks, they pay me to stand around all day. Now I know it sounds like a killer position and some may think I'm crazy for not loving it, but keep in mind 7.25/hr compared to Amazon at 17/hr..okay, love doing nothing and getting paid but seriously, not for ten less bucks per hour with 20 less hours and no overtime or sunday pay! GYAH! I hate a job that requires me to do something that doesn't even feel like work!! damn, give me some security, you know? a chance to feel like I'm doing something important, so it feels like I have a chance to survive. crud Styx is in my head...

It stings when a coffee house tells you that. Read between the lines by the way; it roughly translates to "we think you are too inexperienced for this job"

FINALLY! SOME ONE IS INTERESTED IN ME!! So listen, I hit up careerbuilder.com and slathered on my resume and I got two job offers; one from APHinity, and another from ICM. I don't know what the names mean but they are offering me a job as a advertising and marketing manager, entry level for fortune 500 companies and the pay starts at around 35k-40k!! HOLLY FRIGGING <@#$#&^%*${$%.^$#!!!!!!!!!

Forgot to mention had an interview with both of them and they told me on spot that I'm the guy they need. Problem is I gotta schedule a job tour (see how the company works day to day) and it takes all day for both companies. That's 2 more parts of an interview basically and I work all week.
