Event forum's still up, but it'll be closed down in a couple days...

I would like to know how you all felt about the event that just ended.


What did you like?
What didn't you like?
What would you like to see again in a future event?
What would you like to not see again in a future event?




Some aspects of the event I sort of invented on the fly, and I think it showed, but in my view I think it worked pretty okay. The Snow Bucket being the big thing: I invented that when I realized I made some bad assumptions about how many snowflakes people would be getting. (I based my reckoning on events from a while back, when there were less people posting...meaning everybody posted less.)


So, anyway. What did you guys think about it?

Personal observations:
1) Snow collection was a fun way to compete and store extra stuff so it didn't go to waste.
2) People like the drawing rewards. Doing things like the pet drawing or the avatar pegged with snow or food was great.
3) The Avalanche game is still fun.
4) YOU'RE MAKING ME FAT WITH ALL THE DONUTS AND TURKEY! D:<

...I am not as sure about the other stuff...I've been I'll twice during the event and so wasn't on as much.

I found the snow food bank odd, yet awesome at the same time. It gives newer members a chance to receive items they don't have a chance to receive besides purchasing, and also gives those of us with a ton of extra a chance to get rid of some
The snow bucket was fun for me XD I decided last minute to join in mainly to kick glitch off the board XD

I can't really think of something I did not like from the event, besides my usual complaint that I cannot keep up with the forums XD

The food bank was an unusual idea, yeah.

I think if we do something like that again, I'll adjust how the timings of it work somewhat. Namely, make it so the item it's asking for stays longer than 15 minutes, but you can only put in an item every 15 minutes. Give people more opportunities to trade.

And, of course, make the buttons and expected actions more clear. It wasn't exactly obvious at a glance.

This actually was a really fun event and I enjoyed pretty much everything, though there were aspects about it that I didn't like as much such as:
I thought the food bank was clever BUT I'm bad with trading with other users and I had missed the food fight event so in addition to trying to get items to donate to the food bank, I was trying to get a full set of food fight items also. I mean...the event went on long enough that I almost succeeded...so it wasn't really that big of a deal, but for anyone who is sick or otherwise can't get on much for an event it could be really frustrating.
The length of the event was great BUT even though you did give us the snow bucket updates, I forgot exactly when it was ending.
I loved the snow bucket idea actually it was really cool BUT I would have maybe left it up for another 12-24 hours after the event ended for the people like me who forgot the end of the event was so soon or who are in other time zones.

Otherwise, I say good job. The event was fun, the items were and are pretty cool and I had a lot of fun.

If you have duplicates of the food, the Exchange still swaps food for food, just so you know.

I don't think I have any duplicates. i spent so much time trading them to get the ones I didn't have at the end of the event that I think I am down to one of each...only short by 2-3 of them though, I think.
So I'll just slap them onto my quest list, which I still haven't finished editing.
Either way, like I said, the event was long enough that it wasn't a terribly difficult thing for as active as I was...just initially a little frustrating.

What did you like?

• The reindeer items were some very amazing designs for the coats, boots, and pants.
  
• The Snow Dump was a cool competition. Fake internet points is always a great motivational tool to keep contributing for some people. Small suggestion, add some bogus title as a reward to the top contributors. Well if titles beyond the ones under our names becomes a thing or not.
  

What didn't you like?

• Can't say. Overall a lot was done for the event.

What would you like to see again in a future event?

• RIGS. I REALLY REALLY like RIGS for events, it creates a nice amount of spare items for donations and for future members. It motivates people to post more then regular currency.
  
• Would love to see other uses of dumps, like adding tiers and if the site as a whole dumps enough _x currency_ prizes will be won.

What would you like to not see again in a future event?

• To be honest I'm no longer a fan of event currency being used to purchase items from a shop. I don't mind seeing currency return if it serves different purposes.
  
• For example! We can have currency be granted, and that currency in all actuality is EXP points to "level up" our avatars. And that information can be used for a return of a battle system, or just be there to be bogus internet points showing off our high levels LOL.
