Congratulations on being chosen for our planetary exchange project. For nearly 500 years, the Kalin Environmental Research Program (henceforth referred to as KERP) has proudly welcomed new researchers, and we are excited for you to be part of this great project. As a member of the 3027th ship-out, you will join a dynamic group of like-minded researchers in a place of endless opportunities. KERP offers an unparalleled setting for the next chapter of your life. You, along with a group of select individuals from various places, will be travelling to Kalin, where you will research its ecosystem as well as collecting samples of the wildlife as a part of our Environmental Research Program.

You and your team will be given a month’s worth of supplies and will need to procure further supplies for the remaining duration of your stay at a port station marked on your Personal Access Communication Display (PACD). The shuttle will leave at 14:00 hours at Chetlock Docks in the 4th District. The shuttle will take you the base on Kalin where you will pick up your supplies. Shelter will be provided as single occupant military-grade tents. Note that, if these are damaged, new tents cannot be sent and you will either have to purchase (estimated cost 20,000 aurum) or make your own shelter.

During your 2 year stay you will be collecting flora and fauna for preservation at the Kalin Crisis Reserve. You will be delivering these plants and animals to your designated research facility located in your base town. As you traverse the wilderness, it is important to stay in contact with your base of operations and facility coordinator. Weekly status updates via your team's PACD are required if supplies/aid are to be sent to your location.
