Lost in a Memory
Default Are there any childhood snacks you always have to buy at the store?   #1
Being a grown-ish adult (24 and counting), I find myself rubberbanding back to when I was in elementary school when I see things like Handi-snacks and Dunkaroos. Like, I have to get them, because when I was 8 they were the bomb!

Trisphee, are there any snacks or foods from your childhood that make you this cray-cray?

Wafersticks and rice cakes. xDD
Though I can never buy them...just longingly look at them.
I haven't had Dunkaroos in ages.
They're not in America anymore? I'll ship them to you. >>

Hahaha, where near the border are you? xD
I'm in Ontario, a little ways away from the border to Michigan.
I'd get such a weird look if I actually delivered Dunkaroo's. 8D;;
I like rice cakes way more than wafer sticks. >>;;

You actually can find them still in America...My walmart still had them! And food lion as well.

You can also order them in bulk online from the company (or at least you could last year)

Buffalo is a bit more than 2 hours away from us. xD
Buffalo is near Niagara Falls.
And Niagara Falls is...5 hours away? Dx
And that's only to our Canadian side.

Don't Poke The Tiger!
I'm Asian. So growing up I totally followed my stereotype and ate typical Asian snacks like seaweed snack packs, wasabi peas, dried crunchy fish (and other sea creatures) things, and the like. >w< I still love them all to this day, but my favourite remains to be those delightful seaweed snack packs. <3

I ALWAYS have to restrain myself from buying them when I know that I shouldn't do so at the moment. :(

I'm blunt and direct.

I've eaten seaweed sheets before.
They're pretty good, but they left a weird after-taste in my mouth.
>>;;
Wish I could say I tried other ethnic snacks when I was a kid, but I didn't. Dx

A good friend to talk to when things go to hell in a hand basket.
I missed some of my favorite snack foods when I was a kid but when I see them at my store I have to stay far away to many calories and to much sugar. =P

Please help me on my quest if you can: http://www.trisphee.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7606

asdfghjkl seaweed snack packs. I haven't had nori is forever. String cheeeeeese. They sell string cheese in Entropy though, so I'm good on that end. There're some other ones, but I'm too tired/stressed to remember...

...I was never a big fan of Skittles, TBH. Just pointing that out. -grabs nearest riot shield-

The ever amazing cap'n obvious
I don't buy snacks, ever. I love them, but out of sheer willpower I avoid them at all costs. My "snacks" usually consist of apples, yogurt, or toast. Snacks are way too expensive to buy regularly. But when I was a freshman and could buy everything I ever wanted with my meal plan, my snacks consisted of string cheese, salt&vinegar pringles, and nutella.
