Definitely not the hats and blanket. And while I would love to try doing scales on the dragons eventually, they wouldn't be very cuddly...

Well, the scales are aluminum actually, so a little lighter than steel. But yeah...still very heavy. Lol

Ah, yeah, that'd be a bit lighter. :P I have steel scales on a shelf behind me, so that's what I was thinking of.

It would definitely be expensive to make.
But so pretty! A "dragon hide" blanket!

It would be! On both accounts. :O
My scale vest was like $100 worth of scales, a blanket would be, uh, a lot more. XD

Ouch...but yeah....say hello to my 10 year $1000 project..
I mean, depending on length, my scaled gloves can cost between $12 and $40 approximately for scales. So yeah...lots of money for scales! XD

Would be the coldest blanket ever when first getting under it. Unless it was out in the sun.

Surprisingly, it probably wouldn't be any colder than a regular blanket (if the gloves are any indication) because the yarn that holds it together would completely cover the back of the scales.

Oh, yeah, that's true. I was thinking about scales with rings holding them together (like the scales I have).

Yeah, if it was normal scalemaille it would be colder (and a good deal heavier) than knitted scalemaille.
Brrrr! | ||||
