He sounds like an idealist but also someone who thinks he's better than other theater school owners for not doing what the others are alledgedly doing.
Ha! If they know me and realize my favorite book is by Marcel Proust and that I like music played on a harpsichord? |D Of course, I also like avatar sites and drag queen music and less 'elite' stuff but I have a master's degree in... classic greek. Something quite "useless" and foreign (I haven't even translated a theatrical piece!)

Harpsichord music can be cool. But anything that teaches you different ways of thinking isn't useless at all. That had to have been pretty challenging to earn! Good on you!

From what I can tell, you are.

You would have probably liked talking to my mother and grandfather. She was interested in philosophy, not to the point of studying it. But she was really into ancient Greek history as well. And my grandfather liked to talk philosophy in his own way. I know he enjoyed Ralph Waldo Emerson among some other things.
