Can totally understand the urge to declutter/get rid of unwanted stuff. I've also been decluttering a bit.

I use She/Her and They/Them pronouns.

I know, stuff has to GO sometimes. I think I just got triggered because of childhood memories of toys thrown out. Sorry about that.
I'm not very active right now, because of stuff. If you don't see me around and you really need to get hold of me, you can yell at me over at one of these places?

If it makes you feel any better, I'm not really getting rid of any toys. Old tv and vhs tapes, an assortment of charging cables that don't fit my current devices, clothes, and dishes are the majority and some very bad loom sets I bought but never use and would NEVER recommend to anyone because they're awful and totally unnecessary.

because I am me, I checked out more crochet books from the library, and also started working up a bag to haul books because plastic grocery bags are hard to carry and hurt my hands. I also oogled the pretty antique sewing basket that has antique crochet work spilling out of it in a display case, and wondered about asking if it was possible to examine (carefully!) the crochet work, so I could try and write up both a description and a pattern of the items inside.

Ahhhh. Okay! Sorry for being such a twerp about stuff that isn't even really my business.

Ohhh. That reminds me, though. Do you think you'd be interested in a furry little backpack that has a doll seat on the back of it? I THINK Derpy could fit in the seat.

With crochet bags you have to watch for stretch, because crochet is GOOD at stretching, especially when used to carry heavy things. I was reminded of this when I made a phone case with a cross body strap for the cellphone that I use.

I also wouldn't get rid of things that have sentimental value, though that could be a reason I have for not getting rid of stuff. Though there are some things I have no problem getting rid of, and I have plenty I plan to get up for sale soon-ish, just have to make time to find said things, dust them off, etc.

Tbh, I'm not a very sentimental person. So that's rarely an issue for me. Like...I have the odd gifts from friends that I've kept. But most of my friends also know my taste/preferences for gifts well enough that it's stuff I'd want anyway. Probably the biggest "sentimental" gift that I've kept despite not really having any current use for them is a set of cat bookends. But they're cute and just sit on top of my bookcase anyway. Most other sentimental gifts are small things like jewelry or bookmarks. And those don't take up much space.
I mean...as bad as it sounds since I've had a sentimental attachment to it for forever, I'm kinda thinking of letting go of my old teddy bear. Tbh, I don't have the same attachment to it as I used to and oftentimes I even forget I have it...for like years on end.
Anyone want a well-loved blue teddy bear from 1988?
XD

In other news....am trying to come up with a simple-ish Halloween costume. Sort of a necromancer with inspiration drawn from an art doll I just got:

Have most accessories figured out, just need the actual outfit decided on. Preferably more than just a cliche robe. I'll find something eventually.

I mean...he's pretty old and faded and the blue looks more grey than blue these days, but a careful and thorough wash would probably brighten him up. I'll send a pic on discord.

Welcome to the sewing world, Stabb! :3

@Kaderin - I see :0 I know not everyone hangs onto things regardless if sentimental or not, and something that might have had meaning at one point may not have meaning to that person later on, I know some things I've held onto that no longer have much meaning to me, anymore.

I'll take care of him, if you want. Do you think you could give him the bath before he travels? I can't even get myself washed as often as I want right now (not stinky, just itchy from eczema that wants a bath).

it's percival! in all seriousness, i have no knowledge on sewing but it seems easy enough even if my stitches are god awful.

Whoops, of course, Percival. xD

And don't worry about awful stitches, that's how I started off LOL even a friend of mine commented on how bad they were when I was a newb. ;w;

Tam: Yeah, I can see about getting him a bath! Aka - a spin in the washing machine on the gentle cycle.

Percival: If it makes you feel any better, everyone's stitches are god-awful when they start sewing. Mine can still be pretty rough at times, but I mostly craft for myself so it doesn't matter.
