Keeping his eyes on the floor, Kyriel hardly heard a word that was said. He was far too preoccupied with his own thoughts to give a care to the conversation. His nervousness was taking over and he could not help but feel like they were, all four, still staring at him, leering and sneering and all those other "eering" words.

Looking up as he heard his name, Kyriel squirmed a little. He surely did not mean that he had to tell him his side right then, did he? Not in front of them! That would be disastrous. It was bad enough that he had to be in the same room as those troublemakers, but to have to speak in front of them like that? He was doomed.

So, for now, Kyriel just remained silent. Of course, now they would just think he was stupid... there really was no winning.

Bryn huffed "Let's not take too long I haven't eaten since yesterday morning ya know. I don't even care if you see me as a villain too! Just make sure you don't out the part where I kick their asses." he gave them a look which much to the principal's dismay couldn't find a way to control the Drow. In society Xul'Bryn was from maybe he could've physically discipline him but he did not have that luxury here. There were rules...but he could certainly see about getting a teacher, maybe even a tutor, to get him in line.

Gently he spoke to the timid student "Kyriel I only have so much time to offer you. If you don't speak now you won't get another chance. I'll make a decision without your imput and it's likely you'll remain a victim."

Glaring at the trio and sharing just small bit of it at Xul'bryn he also spoke less softly. "Bullying is not tolerated here however. There's enough evidence against you for me to take action." This was hopefully enough for the elf to finally speak up. He looked at his watch.

Glancing over at Xul'Bryn, Kyriel recoiled as if he thought the Drow would hit him from across the room. Mostly, Kyriel disliked how the dark Elf continued to make it sound like he was the good guy in all of this. Sure, he had saved him from the other three, but at least they tended to restrain themselves from using magic or causing too much bodily harm. Even if he had one good deed under his belt, he was no less a villain than the other three in Kyriel's mind.

"I was in a tree and he knocked me down. Using magic." Kyriel began hurriedly, hoping to get this all out in as few breaths as possible. He jerked his head to indicate that he was currently talking about Grylle, though he did not dare look over at the boy. The magic part he found important since there were campus restrictions, when not in appropriate classes, about using it. "I-I ran and they chased me until I ran into him." He nodded toward Bryn. That part seemed to hardly be part of the story to Kyriel, but he had done this a thousand times before and knew how valuable every piece of information was to people trying to help him. "I ran again and they found me again." Another nod toward the three boys. "They wrestled me to the ground but th-then the Drow fought them off with magic." He finally graduated from pronouns, but he felt no reason to use named. "I was going to go but then he started bullying me too so I got mad and... tried to hit him but h-he was too fast." It was not quite a lie to exclude the part about him using magic, though he felt that his usage was slightly more justified, being self-defense, in a way. If the principal asked, he was definitely not going to deny it. He had been punished before for things, so it was not too huge of a deal.

From their seats to the side of him, Kyriel could tell that Grylle and his gang were trying hard not to make comments or laugh about his occasional stuttering. Kyriel was mostly glad that he had not known them when he was younger and the stuttering came with almost every sentence. At least now that he was older it was only when he was nervous or pressured.

"Kyriel has good potential as I said before Mr. Principal." Xul'bryn spoke up not minding that he was just called a bully for trying to help him. "But to clarify I believe my taunting helped him see he's not weak b-boy who can let kids trample him." The drow spoke the second part fast before the principal got to silence him. "I heard your part of the story already Xul'bryn. And we've had our debate. Your punishment will more harsh because you are still by all means a bully."

The principal dismissed the 3 boys telling them to pack their things. They were not expelled but being suspended back to their families for awhile. Maybe the shame they'd bring with them home would teach them a lesson.

Once the drow left he said a few words to Kyriel. "Thank you for being brave there. We'll be keeping an eye on the drow. Could you be specific about what he did to bully you?" He remained nice to the sensitive boy. But even in defense Kyriel had damaged campus property to which the appropriate discipline would be taken.

Kyriel crossed his arms over his chest, hugging himself tightly as he waited. He was not really sure what to think about Xul'Bryn's comments. They did not change his view on the Drow much, though he thought it was maybe supposed to be some kind of compliment. He had been told that he had potential for a long time now, so it hardly meant a thing to him.

The group of boys left in a huff--or at least Grylle did. The Elf looked disappointed and the other human looked sulky. Kyriel felt himself immediately relax when they left though. Once Bryn left, he relaxed even further. The principal being there still made him feel slightly uneasy, but at least now he could focus on the conversation better.

"Just the usual stuff, mostly..." Kyriel said softly, almost too softly to hear from across the room. He did not bother to go into specifics; the principal had dealt with this before, not that it would take anyone but a few seconds to figure it out even without the past experience. "I think he wanted me to fight him. He said it was good when I tried to." He sighed lightly, keeping his eyes down at the floor. Now was the part when he got his punishment, he supposed. Hopefully this would go fast.

The principal smiled lightly. Kyriel was no fool, he knew there was something in store for him too otherwise he wouldn't be so reluctant to share anything with him. "So it is true what Xul'bryn said? You launched him into a wall?"

The question was a little unexpected, though Kyriel was glad that the mood was kept light. He could not help the very small, shy smile that crept over his face. "Yeah, I guess..." He shrugged his thin shoulders, ducking his head into it as if he thought he was a turtle. Of course, maybe he was just addressing the fact that there was damage done to the wall. That thought helped him to wipe the smile away. He had not looked since his mind had been on other things. Hopefully it was little enough damage that he would just be punished with detention or something. Even if they were powerful magic users, his parents had been out-of-commission for quite some time and had not been well in the money in recent years with their care for him. They had always been able to get by, living rather comfortable lives which was easy for some Elves in the woods, though Kyriel did not want to take from what little they had. His parents had been doing more jobs now that he was away at school, so things were looking up in that respect, not that his family had ever viewed it as a big problem. They did not even really need money since they lived in the forest.

"The drow is insane I tell you." he shook his head, "He actually sounded happy to be thrown into a wall and bleeding internally. But he's apparently good at healing up. The wall however is still a problem. Mainly because it was not just a wall but part of a building. We're having it taken care of but this is destruction of school property! Considering the circumstance you were in at the time though it will be more mild. You, Kyriel, will be cleaning the bathrooms and attending private sessions with our combat specialist Sir Jun." Instructor Jun was a human with little potential is true magic but was exceptionally good at blending physical combat with magic creating a whole new class of fighters. He was viewed upon as a knight, however in the classroom the shining armor and wonderful smile tended to be shut away in favor of hard drilling. It would serve to both punish the elf and to strengthen him. Maybe grow a little more confident as the teacher pushed the boundaries of what he could do.

((hope forcing an instructor on you is ok we needn't focus on him. I couldn't resist putting "Sir Jun" though lol))

{{~*Heheh of course it's fine~*~}}

Kyriel remained silently, only nodding slightly. The Drow was certainly an odd creature, and Kyriel had a strong feeling that he had not seen the last of him. Whether that was a good thing or a bad thing, he had yet to decipher, though he got the feeling that it was the latter.

"Yes, sir." Kyriel said in a quiet way that could be considered a squeak. The punishment sounded okay to him. At least no money would be involved. The bathrooms he could certainly handle--it was not the first time he had been assigned such a task, and at least it would let him have some time alone. The training was actually the one he less liked. Most boys at the school would love to have some one-on-one time with the knight, though his harsh discipline was hard to handle. In most of the other boys' minds, it was worth it. Kyriel was not such a big fan of it. Though he did like the idea of sharpening his skills; that was what he was here for anyway. If he really had as much potential as everyone told him, then this would be quite useful. If he went back home on holiday break with some of that solid teaching under his belt, perhaps he could make his parents proud.

With hardly another word the principal dismissed Kyriel and gathered some things to head off to where that other pressing matter was.

Bryn had in the back of his mind to intercept Kyriel after the meeting with the principal. But his whole world didn't revolve around that kid, it was just the first friend he made here and likely to be his only. Even an assassin in training like him enjoyed having a companion. Though he got the impression Kyriel didn't like him that much yet... 'meh that'll change eventually, in the meantime I'll abuse the food privileged I have here' he though gorging down on more food than he'd seen in his whole life.

Skittering away quickly as soon as he was released, Kyriel was not sure what to do at first. Classes would start soon, but he still had a few minutes, and he preferred not to skulk around the halls during such times. Even if the main bullies were now on their way home, it did not mean that he was totally safe. There was still the Drow and there were still other students who might poke fun at him. It was hard being an Elf sometimes; he could easily hear the hurtful comments and giggling even if the students thought they were being sly and discreet.

Kyriel decided to resort to his usual; the janitor's closet near the kitchen. The janitor was the closest thing that Kyriel had to a friend at this point. The silver-haired Elf was old and bent over, his right leg crippled from an old injury. There was much mystery surrounding the Elf, especially since he was marred and thus unable to speak. Patience was strong in his ancient heart though, and he accepted Kyriel. Kyriel could tell that he really did accept him too, it was not just because he could not speak to taunt him.

Although it was not really the reason he was there, Kyriel found himself disappointed to not find him there. At least he could curl up on the floor and entertain himself in peace.

Three trays full of food later gave Bryn more shocked-curious looks from people than a teacher chain swearing. He was surprised himself but not done yet. All that remained was a delicious bowl of pudding. "I will eat you my preciooous" he purred to the bowl just as the bell rang. Anyone who had remained at that table left happy to get away from the insane student. "Dang it's a school day isn't it?"

Bryn groaned getting up to seek out his classes. Groaning not because he hated what laid ahead of him but because his stomach was stretched out from all the food he ate. Despite its protests Bryn kept shovling the pudding into his mouth as he walked.

After a few minutes, the janitor did show up, though he did not stay long. As soon as he caught sight of Kyriel curled up in the middle of the floor, he smiled faintly, pausing to brush his fingers once gently through the little Elf's silky hair. Not moving, Kyriel just watched the older Elf as he gathered supplies, mustering up a slight smile once he was leaving.

Eventually, the sound of the bell ringing reached Kyriel's sharp ears. A soft sigh escaped his lips, but he knew that he had to get up and head to his first class. He was already cleaning bathrooms; no more injury needed to be added.

It took little time to get to his first class, and from there things just went as usual. Half of the classes were enjoyable, the other half near-torture. Time in-between classes was better than usual without his main bullies there. Now it was mostly just the freshman and transfers commenting on how pretty "she" was.

The day progressed a little how he had imagined it. He was late to his first class, and mostly everyone was a little skittish around him. Sometimes he approach in an overly friendly matter, like they were best buddies, just to freak them out that from then on they'd be stuck with him. It was fun, no one wanted to have a "demon worshiper" as a friend. By his head third class Bryn had a good grip of the school's layout and had no more trouble finding classes.

But overall the first day was rather dull. "Next I have art with Mr.Tsorrrvzoovac? What kind of looney name is that?" A scratch on his head but went onwards. Nearing the class he caught a pleasant surprise. It looked Kyriel was going to the same way he was. Bryn followed a good distance away using the body of other students for cover.

Kyriel often went through the halls briskly, preferring to sit in the back of the class while he waited for the class to start. Usually this was just to avoid people, but when it came to the Art class, it was just because he was excited to get there. Both the subject and the teacher were worth moving a little faster for.

As he reached the door, Kyriel realized that someone was following him. It was not that he saw someone or anything, but he could just tell. Stopping in the doorframe, he looked back at the mass of teens, but there were quite a few coming to this class. It was hard to tell who it was.

Shaking his head slightly, Kyriel curled up on a stool next to one of the desks, the one in the far corner. It was darker back there, further away from the window than the other seats. It was the seat he always sat in unless someone pushed him out of it. Nobody ever bothered to ask him to move unless someone was just deliberately trying to get on his nerves. Mr. Tsorvzovac had punished the offenders when they had done that before, though Kyriel had been willing to give up the seat anyway.

"Good morning, Ky!" The Half-Elf spun around from where he was putting some paintbrushes in order to greet Kyriel. Shuffling over to the desk, Tsorvzovac smiled brightly. With a face like that pointed at him, Kyriel could not help but smile back a little. "Glad to see you back this year!" The teacher beamed, giving his student a half-hug. Most did not bother to throw accusations of sexual harassment, thankfully. Tsorvzovac had a good reputation anyway; he had been teaching here for ten years and had been voted favorite teacher by the students nearly half of the semesters he had taught.

Noticing the other students filing in, Tsorvzovac gave Kyriel one last pat on the head before turning to greet them with similar words as well as meet some of the newcomers. Kyriel just slumped over the desk, shaking his head a little so that his face would be almost completely hidden by his arms and hair other than his nose sticking out and one of his eyes, barely visible. There were about five other students there early, and Kyriel watched them from his spot, content to do so in peace. Almost all of them were new, and one of the girls kept eying him like she might come over and introduce herself. Kyriel kind of hoped that she would resist; he tended to manage getting no desk mate, as he wished, and she looked like the type who would talk a lot. A friend would be nice though. At least Mr. Tsorvzovac was distracting her with some questions.

((a bit sucky...and I recall brainstorming about a post that I liked but for some reason it seems I never posted it. Great xP ))

Bryn tried to slip past the scarily cheerful teacher talking to a girl student at the door but didn't escape his big rainbow and sunshine smile. It was now this drow's turn to be skittish as pure concentrated happy beams was shot at him in a stream of loud words and a louder shirt. Thankfully IT lost interest when Bryn refused to speak and used pantomime instead. Despite feeling vaguely embarrassed for no apparent reason he could discern he found who he had followed her and took a seat next to him. Completely cutting of a girl who was about to sit, or at least stand in that seat. He could see from the corner of his eye her beginning to protest before snapping that jaw shut.

"Guess who has the same class as you." he said with a very slight smile. This girly elf still had a rather negative image of him. Bryn hoped to change that.
