Smile Does anyone have any music/band suggestions?   #1
I've been wanting to find music that will help keep me relaxed and focused when working on artwork, as well as inspire me for future art pieces. I mostly listen to Classical, Jazz, and electronic music. I have PTSD so anything that is a jump scare or would put me in a panic or is very loud is not recommended.

Here are a list of bands/Musicians I listen to:

Frank Sinatra
Marty Robbins
Dean Martin
The Inkspots
The Five Stars
Ray Charles
The Miles Davis Quintet
Tokyo Police Club
ARMNHMR (only jazzy sounding tracks)
Bach
Mozart
Beethoven (I listen to Beethoven's music often)

That's all I can think of right away. Please feel free to recommend anything you think I might like!

Thank you for reading!

Dragon Storm
Well, Wagner and Grieg would add to the classical music. They made the music in the plays Peer Gent and Niblnungslied.

If you're looking for something unusual, The Decemberists are always a good option.

This particular song is a bit creepy.

So my music taste varies extremely from yours, but there is a band I enjoy that is a great in-between. Apocalyptica is the name, they are formed of 4 guys on cellos and have recently been joined by a drumer. They either write their own songs and feature other vocalists on their tracks or they cover popular rock songs.

Apocalyptica feat. Linda - Faraway Vol. 2

Apocalyptica - S.O.S. (Anything but Love) ft. Christina Scabbia

This one is a cover of Metallica's Fade to Black

Apocalyptica - Fade to Black

This one is my FAVORITE song by them.

Apocalyptica - 'Bittersweet' feat. Lauri Ylönen & Ville Valo (Official Video)

I pre-screened the videos and music, and chose these 4 for ease of listening and light musical intensity. Hope you enjoy the suggestion and they don't set you off in any way XD

How about Beirut? I find them calming and very pretty to listen too.

Hm, you interested in listening to Chopin? I used to play (and listen to) quite a few of his pieces. I also have a CD next to me, all classical music. It's called Richard Clayderman: Concerto, and I've listened to it since I was a kid. Here's the track listing:

1.) Tchaikovsky -- Piano Concerto No. 1
2.) Mozart -- Elvira Madigan
3.) Bath -- Cornish Rhapsody
4.) Liszt -- Liebestraume
5.) Rachmaninoff -- Piano Concerto No. 2
6.) Beethoven -- "Pathetique" Sonata
7.) Williams -- Dream of Olwen
8.) Beethoven -- Fur Elise
9.) Debussy -- Arabesque (One of my favorites. If you like Debussy, try his Doctor Gradus ad Parnassum. I played that for a piano exam once, and grew a little too fond of it. You'd have to find a /good/ rendition of it, though. I can help w that.)
10.) Addinsell -- Warsaw Concerto
11.) Beethoven -- Moonlight Sonata
12.) Bach -- Badinerie
13.) Debussy -- Clair de Lune (Sent my dad to sleep a few times while I was practicing this one for another exam.)
14.) Grieg -- Piano Concerto
15.) Chopin -- Nocturne in E-flat Major
16.) Rachmaninoff -- Paganini Variations
17.) Satie -- Gymnopedie No. 1
18.) Gershwin -- Rhapsody in Blue

My tastes in music range from classical, to jpop, to heavy metal, sssoooo...

There's a website I often use called DI.FM --it ususally uses electronic music, however, there are also channels that have World music as well as Slower calm channels as well, I've often used it for falling asleep.

As far as musicians go, I'd suggest Jim Brickman. He's a Piano player who was popular around the 80'-90's

Thank you so much! I'll check it out as soon as I'm done checking out the other suggestions if that's okay!

I've heard of the musician Jim Brickman before but have never heard their music I don't think! I'll most definitely give their music a listen, though!

Bald and loving it!
Well my fine fellow EDM friend. How consistent do you like for the Rhythm to be?

I like Glitch-sounding music, too, so I say Rhythm consistency can be optional xD
