I mean....the ones we go to are 3 or more hours away by car. But they make good day trips.

All I managed to do today, costume-wise, was wash and dry fabric for the wrap skirt part.

Not sure what you're making, but it looks good so far.

Decided to start blocking the squares I have done so far for my temperature blanket...and while the difference isn't huge, it's still pretty noticeable and I'm glad I decided to block before sewing because I think it'll look better than if I didn't.
Now I just have to work on finishing the squares I need for the first row so I can start assembling as I work rather than saving all the sewing for the end.

Better than I got done. I managed to blow my budget all to hockeysticks... just by paying the bills, buying essentials, and buying one twenty dollar pair of warm boots and a ten dollar plate of food. Prices have gotten that bad on basic foods and the hydro/power bill.

Why blocking matters (a visual representation):

The blocked one isn't perfectly square, but it's a lot better.

blocking acrylic is not impossible. it just takes a lot of patience and steam from your iron. it's absolutely worth it though.

I mean...steam blocking is an option, but it kills the acrylic yarn, which isn't something I really want to do.
