[Taradiddle]

Username change, yay! I looked up interesting words that started with 'T' and found a website specifically for interesting words. Taradiddle sounded like a name out of a Dr. Seuss book, so I picked it. It means a fib or a small lie. :D

My username was my nickname in middle school. I had a backpack shaped like Ryo Ohki from Tenchi Muyo, and I wore my hair (which was a dull brown at the time) in pigtails a lot. People called me Ryo Ohki for a while, but they eventually got tired of enunciating the additional "oh" in the middle and just shortened it. I added the 'e' so that the pronunciation could be understood easier when reading it.

[Uke]

An "Uke" is a submissive partner in a relationship, usually between two boys. They are generally the feminine or "girly" one.

The term comes from "Ukeru", which means "to recieve", opposite of "Semeru", meaning "to attack". I believe they are used in martial arts and were adapted as "Seme" and "Uke" by anime fandom, but I'm not entirely sure.

Naming myself that came from a rather long story...

I had a character named "Arsenic" and on another avatar site purchased a drawing of him from someone. Not knowing his name, she named the art "Uke-Face" when posting it on her deviant art.

I thought the name was adorable and so I adapted it when joining a new avatar site. I ran into another user on that site whose name was "Uke" and we became friends.

"Uke" decided after some time to leave that site and had their name changed to something else so that I could adapt the name "Uke", since I was more active.

After that I created an account here on Trisphee and used the name again. <3

[Hotaru Suzuki]

I originally went by Michiru Kaiou (and sometimes still do) Which if any one knows anything about Sailor Moon. Will know that is the Japanese Name of Sailor Neptune. Which was "assigned" to me when I was 13 by a friend. The name grew on me... But when I was 17 I decided, I wanted something else.... And not Some anime character.

So. After a long name search I decided Hotaru. Japanese for "Firefly" fit me pretty well. So I took up the name. But then I looked and looked for a last name. And finally decided on Suzuki.

Which now of course I have several inside jokes about the name I choose.

I'm afraid that the origins of my name reads more like a history lesson.

Let's just say that Fritigern was a Visigothic (Visigothian?) king.

Mine originates from petrified tree sap (amber) and my strong love and fascination for dreams. It put an image of a big space filled with warm amber light, where I would be floating in soothing calmness. An amber dream/dream of amber. Also, a sort of play on the name "Emerald Dream" from World of Warcraft.

I find ambers to be beautiful and fascinating. I actually own a few, but they've been lost throughout this house. I need to find them again.

Amber is also my name, thus the name could be taken as "Amber is dreaming." I am often in my own little world and turn to fantasy for comfort, so I'm a bit of a dreamer, I suppose.

One day, I hope to buy/commission a necklace of a silver/metal spider with an amber abdomen, since I associate spiders to dreams, and even nightmares. I also compare myself to the spider a lot, so it would have multiple meanings behind it. I also want a spider preserved in amber some day, but these are things that I will probably never get.

Mine is the name of the main character of the book that I'm writing. Airi. Pronounced like air-ee. not aree. Airi the air head.

Mine cane from the Lanyards one wears around their neck. Plus it's different than what I usually go by. I have been thinking of changing it to my usual name but dunno if I really want to.
