I am officially dividing book series into 2 categories:

1. MCU End-Credits series: Much like how Marvel likes to keep you coming back by ending on a cliffhanger in the form of an end-credits scene that teases the next movie, these books end on a juicy cliffhanger guaranteed to make you come back whether you're really that interested or not.

2. Buffy series: Like the iconic show, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, these books have an overarching main plot, but (mostly) tie up any minor sub-plots within each book and don't really end on any major cliffhangers. You could stop this series in the middle...if you weren't so dang interested in finding out if the world really ends or not.

those are really good descriptions, i like them and agree.

so the Bibliophile mysteries are Buffy series, but the Warriors (books 1-5 of the series anyway) are MCU End-Credit series. XD

I'd say maybe 90% of the series I've read or am reading fall under "Buffy". I like them better overall as I feel less pressure to read the whole series.

Am absolutely plowing through a book I checked out recently: The Final Girls Support Group.
Meant to read it last year, but just...forgot about it really. But so far it's really good and definitely has surprised me with one little twist.
Progress will slow down a bit as I maybe work on some nail art and just generally have a busy day and a half off. Watching the Limerick/Cork hurling match Sunday with a friend, then work on Monday followed by getting an insanely cool haircut that idk if I have the confidence to pull off, but it's not really that far off from my usual so we'll see. Then dyeing aforementioned friend's hair (more of tinting than dying as it's blue over dark hair) and my own hair a purple-y color.
The hair is because we said we'd do fun hair if the mill levy we were going for passed...and it did! So funky hair must happen now.

i'm waiting for my short side to grow out, and then get all of it cut and styled, still asymmetrical though :)

still reading my book. i went to the library on Monday, but it really feels like it was an entire 7 days ago.... XD

Hair is slightly shorter than I wanted, but still good and the dye I tried ended up more burgundy than purple, but it was the only semi-permanent purple available when I went to buy it...and funky hair has been achieved.

Also, finished 2 books over the weekend.

i've finished book #26, and now am on #27 - this one is Dressed to Drill by Kate Carlisle. i started with her Fixer-Upper mysteries, and then went to her Bibliophile mysteries. now I'm back to the Fixer-Upper mysteries with her most recent book in that series.

I'm also amused that: the main character is Shannon Hammer. the book came from the Community Library of Castle Shannon. XD

Ugh. I'm bad and have an overdue book...because I'm almost done but can't renew it because it has hold. XP
Was blasting through books/manga last week, but have barely read anything this week.
And yet have still been putting things on hold.

I have one book out, 1 book on hold, and another 1 to pick up at the same library. If I spend longer at lunch today, I might be able to finish the book that I'm currently reading, and then I can return that today as well. I'm also in the queue for a book that was just published, I'm number 3 in line, so I'm not sure when I'm actually be getting that.

The good news is, this particular county that I'm getting these books from is fee free, so that's kind of nice, but at the same time I get 3 weeks to read the books ... and the books I've been reading are like potato chips, they take like 5 days to read XD And if it gets to a few days before they're due, I will get an email saying the due date is coming up, but they've tried to renew the books for me. so far all the books I've gotten this email for have in fact been renewed. :O

I have...8 books out and probably about that many on hold, but most of the holds are newer or popular items so I hopefully won't get them all at the same time.
My currently overdue book should have been a quick read tbh, my brain just sucks and doesn't always want to focus on reading. I've only got like 70 pages to go though so I should he able to finish it over the weekend.
Thankfully my library is also fine-free so the overdue isn't really a huge deal. It's just annoying.

Also need to update my reading list on here eventually. If I include manga, I'm pretty sure I hit my goal. But idk if I'll count them on this list...much like picture books, they're an easier read so I'm curious if I'll hit the goal without them.
But I am counting them on goodreads so I've updates my reading goal on there already since I hit my original goal.

goodreads says i'm at 66% of my goal, and I'm 4 books ahead :)
