Quiet - Well you can do it several ways, you can actually loop the start of your bracelet through one part of a buckle, and the then slip the other side through another one and braid it, or you can do the simple loop at one end and fat knot at the other, attach a metal belt buckle and use the braids as I holes, tie it, lots of ways to finish the braid.

Thanks Nex. Actually, looping first one half of the buckle and then looping and knotting from the other half just occurred to me as I was imagining how I'd make a bracelet from a single piece of cord. I tend to use two: one as the inside base for length, and the other to knot with.
