So i am an avid faerie fan. ^^ i know it has many spellings fairy, faery, fairie, faerie ectect i prefer faerie, you can use what you like ^^.

The genre is pretty spread out. there can be many different versions. like the seelie/unseelie courts, summer/winter courts, no courts, ectect the possibilities are limitless. my favorites of course are books about the seelie/unseelie courts.
also. i love the main guys in fae books. they are always so sexy xD and and and calm c: always! have you noticed this?

anywho some questions for people to post about

which books have you read?
which ones are your favorites?
would you suggest any?

The only books about fairies I've read are the Wicked Lovely series. I really like though I have yet to buy the most recent book.

It's been so long since I've read them, I'll have to set aside some time to read through the four I have before getting the new one. That's not such a bad thing when I really think about it. > w> Bah... thinking about reading Ink Exchange is getting me all excited. > w<

"Three days to dead"
is an interesting book.
Its part of a series but I haven't read any of the other books.


Theres also "Moon Called" the first book in the Mercy Thompson Series. Its mostly about werewolves. But there are a lot of Fae in it too.
And the spin off books from the series...

"Need" is a Fae book based in Maine.
Its a really interesting Series. I've only read two of the books though.

There's this series called bones of faerie its based in Missouri. Pretty interesting read there <3 I still need to read the second book though

I recently had read the book, Tithe and have been wanting to purchase the second in the set.

And tell me about it.. it always seems that guys in the books are totally hot.. fae or not.

I don't know all the current fae books out there. I recently have gotten into Rachel Caine books.

There's a series called "The Iron Fey" by Julie Kagawa. I haven't read them myself but I got a couple of the novellas on my e-reader to try since they were cheap or free. Apparently they sell really well. It deals with the various fey courts, in this case the Winter Fey and Summer Fey, among others I think. Not sure. Thought I'd mention it though. I think they're considered young adult books, or young reader.

I read Ellen Kushner's Thomas the Rhymer a while ago. If you know the story, that's pretty much what the books is. I'm not sure what I think about it really. It covered a fair bit of territory. Good overall I think.

I've read most of the Francesca Lia Block books. I also have all the Brian Froud books. My dream is to meet his family - but goodness what would I say. I've been collecting faerie books for - well... when I was in Kindergarden, my teacher gave me a gift of a birthday faerie with a little birthday card hidden on the butt of her bloomers. <3

Did you check out the Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning? She really works the paranormal aspect well.
i liked them. they were almost too good to be called pulp.

They bring interesting aspects to it - it mostly focuses on the fae, but is fairly deep and has good, believable characters. i enjoyed it a lot, there are five books total.

The Iron Fey series is one of my absolute favorites. The Iron King (the first book in the series) is about a girl who is half human and half faery. She travels to the land of faeries to get back her brother, who had been swapped for a changeling. I won't say too much because I don't want to give anything away. There are characters from A Midsummer Night's Dream such as Puck, Oberon, Titania and Leanansidhe.

I really recommend this to faery lovers because there are so many cool things like a new type of faery (hinthintironhinthint) and there are so many wonderful characters.

The only fae book I've ever read was a Tinkerbell story; Fairy Dust and the Quest for the Egg. I absolutely love that book. It may be a children's story, but it sure touched my heart. <3
