Smile Old Monthly Items   #1
Hello!

You know how we haven't been getting new limited edition items? I was thinking, what if we put back all donation items in the shop? We can put them under categories of each year they were released.

Example,

Items from....

2022-2023 (20 runes each)
2020-2021 (30 runes each)
2019-2020 (35 runes each)
2017-2018 (40 runes each)
2015-2016 (45 runes each)
2013-2014 (50 runes each)
2011-2012 (60 runes each)
2009-2010 (80 runes each)

So many old users aren't on the site anymore, so old items are almost non existent. We don't have much members coming on the site anymore, so releasing old items for everyone to enjoy won't mess up the site economy at all. I think it's a great idea, since we aren't getting new items.

That sounds like a good idea! Maybe roll them out every few months or so, starting with the very first ones and going from there. :0

Probably ask Gallagher about that, as they handle all of the items.
percival is busy being queer as hell. he was also here.
somewhat busy working for trisphee.

a reckoning will not be postponed indefinitely.

I had a plan a while back to make a new section of Archaic Antiquities that would cycle through old monthlies and yearlies that were unavailable (and approved by staff that they're actually something to sell again). Meaning, items that exist, but nobody who visits has any (or there's only 1 or something).

But, uh, I kinda never got around to it.

Still. It was a good plan. Really need to Just Do it, as they say.

I agree, it WAS a good plan! It might be nice to make special event item bundles too? Because there are quite a lot of those no longer in circulation as well, given just how many items we pump into events in the first place.

It is true, we have *many* event items.

depending on how much editing with the item uploader it would require, you could always sell items that are different shades / have different colourations (i.e: ripoff items [affectionate] ) or update the older event items in order to allow for them to be used with the new(er) colour palettes.

Yeah, we had quite extensive discussions back in the day -- we didn't want to ruin the economy for items that were rare but still theoretically available, but we didn't want stuff to stop existing just because the owners stopped logging into the site.

Yes, whatever you guys want to do or plan to do :D I had many users asked me to sell them old items, but I don't have a lot of multiples anymore, so I can't really part with them XD

When it comes to event items, ohhhh I do know how muchhhh yall made for events XD I don't even own all of the event items and I already have soooo much.
