Other drag queens and the overall public were disappointed with Aquaria's look, and she went off on them, not the most mature reaction... she said things like 'at least I was invited'/ 'must be good saying things from your house in your sweatpants'. But the worse was replying to Darienne, Aquaria said that Darienne would only be invited to the met if the theme was 'four way stretch fabric', which everyone took as fatphobia. Aquaria tried to say that 'fashion oriented minds' would interpret that as 'fashion shaming' not 'fat shaming' but well.

Ugh, jesus...gross. It definitely sounds like a bad attempt to cover up what she actually meant. There was so much potential and other queens probably would have done much better and been more classy.
