[*]A mermaid fell in love with a human and made a deal with a witch. What did her sisters trade her to give her a chance to escape it?

In the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale, the sisters traded their hair to learn how to break the mermaid's spell. She was to take the knife her sisters' brought and kill the prince, splashing his blood on her legs which would restore her tail.

18. According to myth, what's the easiest way to tell a witch (without killing/trying to kill them)?
There are actually several ways, the most common one was to put them in water like a pond with a rope tied around their middle and if they floated, it was because they were a witch and the water was rejecting them.
Another easy way would be to ask them to recite the Lord's Prayer which a witch would be unable to do because of the wickedness inside her
And a third way was weighing them. Because witches were believed to be soul-less and therefore weigh lighter than a person who hadn't sold their soul to darkness, witches would be weighed against a bible and if they were found to be lighter than it, they were a witch.

What superhero team was responsible for inadvertently causing the catalyst that forced the Superhuman Registration Act into law?

Various answers to this specific question because there are no clarifying details of which specific Superhuman Registration Act from which Marvel comic universe.

The FIRST Registration Act for all superhuman beings in a Marvel Book came from the 1980's X-Men comics Mutant Registration Act. Came forth as an act of registering mutants in order to regulate and discriminate from the government and general populace, this act came to being with the exposure of mutants from the X-Men themselves.

What is more close to counting to all Superhuman registration was the Metahuman Act in the 1990's Fantastic Four comics, but only dealt with superhumans who were born with powers instead of people who later developed or gained powers.

The next Super Human Registration Act came from the 2006's Civil War Comics which ideas and laws came from the Mutant Registration Act but under a new name to help re-enforce the law. This wasn't a direct effect of a specific Super Hero team but rather because of a large amount of super human beings now exposed/living on Earth and the Government trying to regulate and control the super power populace. Which idealism came into the laps of Iron Man and Captain America who then fought over the idea of whether a registration act should take place or not.

edit:

Healing factor aside, there was a mystical reason Deadpool could not die. What was it?

Thanos is in love with Death and Death is infatuated with Deadpool, therefore Thanos cursed Deadpool with eternal life so Death and Deadpool can never be together.

6. How did the stepsisters get the glass slippers to fit, and what gave them away?
They get the slippers to fit by cutting off parts of their feet (big toe, part of the heel). Despite, what I can image is quite a lot of blood, they are not discovered as frauds until the birds tattle, via a bird song, to the prince.

Just for some extra trivia: The Keene Act, of 1977 in Watchmen, which made it illegal for costumed vigilante or adventurer groups to form or act unless they were approved by the government, eg. The Comedian. Rorschach thought it was a load of garbage and kept going vigilante anyway.

Not sure if I can answer a question after adding to someone else's but putting this up.

4. It's not unusual for one actor to be the wrong height for a part when compared to his fellow actors in a movie. What method was used to bring Robert Downy, Junior up to snuff?

RBJ is short(er) and wore platform wedge heels to make up the needed height. I would imagine he had a few pairs depending on who he had to stand next to during a given scene.

Extra Trivia! There is an Archie comic where Dilton wants to dance with Betty, who is wearing 4 inch heels. Dilton is normally 4 inches shorter than Betty to begin with. She feels silly about dancing with a short man (1970-80s or so, here) He solves the problem by having her remove her heels and give them to him. Math!

It will imitate human voices. Depending on the mythological source, Wendigos are also able to shapeshift.
