Yeah, I've definitely put together a "starter bundle" for myself, consisting of a spare wheel set, pads, and skates, but I can't decide what color skates to get of the 5 options that the style I picked comes in.

Tbh, I like them all for different reasons, but have been leaning toward green or purple just because they strongly remind me of pokemon.
But I also really like all the colors, so I think letting the whole 3 people (friend, friend's sister, and Derpy) who voted on the last one chose the first pair I get.

Green is definitely a less common color, but I've seen a few pairs while I was browsing. I initially had seen a really cool black pair with a holo rainbow reflect, but after doing some reasearch, it's not likely that those are a very high quality/are not the best skates.

I mean...they're pretty and if they have decent padding, they'd be okay, but most of the pretty, sparkly/shiny styles like the holo ones are definitely not designed for people with wide feet and are more of a vinyl that doesn't really move as well as other materials. So I could invest in a pretty pair once I'm more experienced, just for pretty show-off reasons, but they're definitely not a good first pair.

Yuck, hope you're able to stay warm! It hasn't been quite that cold here, but still pretty bad. Today is -23F (approx -30C), but with windchill feels like -35F (approx -37C), so also not fun.

I was meaning the holo vinyl tends to crack or lose its colour sooner than other colours. Or it used to. I have to remember how long it's been since I tried having shiny stuff.

Even your temps are colder than our winter usual by a bit! Be safe, okay?

I woke up this morning to top sheet so smelly that it got the duvet cover and duvet smelly. So now, when the power grid is strained, I have to do laundry. :p Weeeeeeee.
