Default Bioware games   #1
Has anyone played these games? They are my favorite games on the history of earth! xD

Anyway, here's talk of Mass Effect.
Was anyone ticked off in the second one when you meet Kaidan/Ashley on that one planet? Kaidan was such a jerk! It's not my fault that I died then was brought back! Dx
-runs off to Thane-

Let's discuss Bioware games!

I really enjoyed the first one, but then, I love all of Bioware's games. I've had the second one for like 6 months now and I haven't even opened it. I just haven't had the time to play lately, and for some reason, I'm just not that excited about it, though I know I'll like it once I get into it.

The first one was definitely a gold mine for me as well. I love RPG's as it is, but the fact that it is Sci-fi boosted the interest for me. (I am crazy about Sci-fi things. xD) And I totally understand that. I was like that with Dragon Age 2, and then loved it when I finally played it. I promise you that you'll love it, I consider it better in a lot of ways. :3
I love love love Bioware by the way. I've played most of their games. xD

I've played... *thinks* All the Neverwinter Nights games, Jade Empire, both Kotors, Mass Effect 1, Dragon Age: Origins, both Baldur's Gates, both Icewind Dales, and... I think that's all. So, up until last year or so, I'd played most of their games, but I've fallen off lately.

Hard to decide which is my favorite. Either Kotor 2 or Neverwinter Nights 2, I'd say.

Wow, that is definitely a lot!
Let me see, I've played
KOTOR, Mass Effect 1 & 2, Dragon Age 1 & 2 and Awakening, Jade Empire... and that might be it. Only 6, but it seemed like more to me. xD I didn't know Baldur's gate was a bioware game. o u o

I tried playing KOTOR 2, but I couldn't get into it..

I can never remember the whole situation between Black Isle and Bioware with the old D&D games. I'm pretty sure half of Bioware's team used to be Black Isle, so I tend to lump them together.

Ahh, I see. That would make more sense. :3
Either way, Bioware is still like my own child or something. xD
I love them just as much as Bethesda, pretty much. Although I do enjoy Valve too. I think it would be easier to say I love video games in general.
But anyway I can understand that. ^^

Did you ever play Planescape: Torment? Another one I'm not sure which team designed, but it's supposed to be the best of the old Dungeons & Dragons games. I've wanted to play it for a long time, but I just got a hold of it and got it running recently. I haven't really gotten a chance to check it out yet.

Hm, I've never played that game, sorry. I have played a bit of some D&D games, but I've never even heard of that one... I'm sure that there's reviews somewhere. ^^

Oh, yes, I know, it has glowing reviews, which is why I want to play it. :p

It's supposed to have one of the best video game stories ever written.

Really? Sounds like something I should check out sometime!

but usually I don't need an awesome story as long as the characters are cool. For some reason I really love human interactions.. When I write, it's something I focus a lot on. Maybe I should be a psychiatrist or something. xD

That was one thing I loved about Dragon Age. The inter-party-member conversations were just brilliant.

Me as well! It was the main reason I could live through the second one.
Sometimes I would just walk around in the first one waiting for them to say something. I loved the interactions between Alistair and Wynne, and Shale with pretty much everyone. I also love how my dog put a dead rabbit in Morrigan's clothes. xD Oh! And at the end when you tell Alistair he has to mate with Morrigan. The look on his face was priceless!

I never actually finished Origins, as my PS3 died right when I was getting to the end of it, and the save files are locked for some reason.

I knew that about the ending, though, don't worry. :p

What? That sucks! I feel bad for you. Dx Stupid PS3.... This is why I use the xbox 360 more. xD
Although the end wasn't all that great anyways, but still.

Phew! I was worried for a second that I had given you a spoiler! D:

Nope, I'm too internet-addicted to avoid spoilers on anything. :p

Anyway, you thread's off-topic. Sorry.

You mentioned that Mass Effect 2 is better than the first?
