It's hard to say. On one hand, you've got this almost-dystopian warrior type, and on the other you have this avian bird guy who probably has some cool bird powers.
...But I think I'll go with warrior guy. He's better armed.

I would say Espy. Swords most definitely have an advantage over a potentially (though not necessarily) magic staff/sceptre. Plus, eyes are also advantageous.

Espy looks like they have some dark magic up their (lack of) sleeves... so probably them.
