❝ You Me At Six's cover of Starry Eyed by Ellie Goulding. It's the only way I can listen to the song. ❞

Lollipop by little wayne covered by framing hanley
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbUR0SRceD0&ob=av2e but I'm really more of a fan of rock than rap any day so that's probably my big reason why. I'm also a huge fan of this video. My Guardian Angel

"The Maple Leaf Forever" by Buble. :D.
I'm not all that fond of the guy, but I thought he did a pretty good job with that song. Was a national anthem contender from one of the World Wars, I think. Apparenlty the closing ceremony for the 2010 Olympics didn't go over as well as it could because people apparently weren't sure if they were supposed to laugh or not. Floating moose!

Mastodon's cover of ZZ Top's "Just Got Paid" is beyond amazing to me.

I very seldom like the covers more than the originals, but I definitely liked Amy Winehouse's version of 'Valerie' (originally by The Zutons) so much better than the original...and Florence + The Machine's covers of Beyonce's 'Halo' and of Robert Palmer's 'Addicted to Love'

However, there ARE some like what you mentioned. An example is Lolipop by Framing Hanley. (cover) Rock = Good. Rap = bad. The cover is far superior to the original.
