ah, that makes sense.
yeah, remembering is the hard part. i have a book ready for pickup. this library branch is about 20 minutes away from me, so i want to try to time it that i finish a book so i can drop it off AND pick up the new one in the same trip. i just might be able to do that on friday. (they're holding the book until Monday.) ooh patterns. :D

Wooo! Go get that book!
Lol. Yeah...patterns that I may or may not ever make. xD I'll have them for when I do want them though. And if the entrelac pattern is well enough written, I'll for sure use that one eventually.

I started an entrelac scarf, but then the YouTube tutorial videos kind of stopped being made in the middle of it so I didn't really how to continue it because I definitely need the instructions (preferably as a video) to follow for the first few times until I can wrap my head around the process.

well that was rude of the youtube videos....
i know how to crochet them, and i would imagine it's a similar technique for knitting (well, i think the technique was knitted first? lol)... but i couldn't begin to guess how it'd be done on the loom without a vid.

Yeah, loom knitting can be a bit tricky for converting patterns and involve a fair amount of testing stuff. Most things work fairly similarly to regular knitting though. Idk. I'll have to test out the entrelac pattern once I've finished a few other things. I have some yarns that would work up really pretty for it.

i'm making a scrap yarn blanket with my leftover sock yarn, and it's entrelac, but crochet.
yeah, i can see the need to test, to make sure it all works the way you want. in reading news, I've picked up another book from a library....while i'm finishing up my current book. O_o

Wooo! More books! Lol.
I'm almost done with 1 of the books I have checked out...out of 5. My holds came in too fast and I am overwhelmed.

i totally get that.... it's why when I'm just about done with my current book, i request the next one. so far most of the books are from the library that's 20 minutes away. this new one is the one that's 5 minutes away XD

Yeah.....so the problem was that I had put a hold on one of the books, anticipating it to be out for at least a month because I had sent it out as an interlibrary loan. Another I put on hold after our library joined the partner system, anticipating it would take a lot longer to arrive than it actually did...and the other 3 are just me being over-ambitious.

i've learned over the last many years to only put one book at a time on hold - unless it's a brand-new book that's on order. i actually have a hold on two books like that.
I've also learned if i put two books in the same series on hold at the same time, I'm going to get the later book first - like #s 3 and 4, you know I'll get #4 first XD

I'd like to say I've learned my lesson, but I absolutely have not. I'll continue putting holds on books well before I actually need them and and up with too many all over again.
