Ah man, I don't know if it was the cold temperatures or what yesterday, but PoGo did not track my distance walked at all when I actually walked almost 2 miles to get to work, and around 3/4 of a mile to get home (because I got a ride from one job to the next).
But I did get a silly screenshot of 3 pokemon huddled in a circle, so that was fun at least. XD

They've just added more Pokemon from the Hoenn region! We can get Aron, Trapinch, Whismur, Numel, Solrock, Lunatone, Baltoy and all of their evolutions!

They are also holding monthly community days with boosted stardust, special movesets and a different Pokemon spawning more than usual for the duration of the 3 hour events! The first one was Pikachu that had Surf with an increased chance of finding a shiny! The next event is scheduled for February 24th and will have Dratini as it's featured Pokemon!

Although I was able to evolve my Lairon this morning when it got knocked off a gym (finally) and I evolved my Baltoy last night ^_^

HOW ARE YOU FINDING THOSE POKEMON?

Seriously. I rarely see any gen 3 pokemon around here. Ever. The occasional Wurmple still, but that's practically it.

I'm lucky and have several spawn points around my home that I can literally catch from my sofa. That and we reasonably frequently go into town where there are a ton of gyms and Pokestops.

Okay yes, but I also have a couple spawn points within range of my apartment and I live within an approximate 5 block radius of at least 3 gyms and no fewer than 9 pokestops and still am not seeing anything other than Wurmples.

That seriously sucks :( We mostly get things like Rattatas, Pidgeys & Weedles but recently we've been getting more Zigzagoon and Whismur about. The weather helps with getting different things showing up and we get the odd rare spawn here too, I caught a Mantine because it was windy earlier (flying-type boost).

I currently have 2 Shuppets an Aipom and a Koffing here at the house (it's night-time and cloudy in game)

I've been lazy about playing lately, but it's been raining like mad here, and with some icky weather. On the plus side, driving out one day there were pikachu everywhere, and I managed to get a Pokemon in a gym on a drive-by (madly tapping the screen to get anyone in there before we past it. It was my butterfree.) The other day we were inundated with spheals.

More new Pokemon have been released today including Volbeat, Surskit, Beldum, Bagon, Taillow, Wingull, Castform, Tropius, Chimecho and all of their evolutions! You will also be able to find Rayquaza in level 5 battles until March 16th and don't forget you only have until February 14th to catch Kyogre!
