I've cleared Legendary Seaway but not Legendary Earth. The last round of Starlight Sanctuary gave me a LOT of trouble.

I've been losing a lot lately in the stronger dungeons. I need a ton of skill ups and tamadras so I can get other monsters ready and so far zip. Maybe I need to start farming for coins then buying coin dungeons?

Definitely yes. Farming for the guaranteed skillup monsters in the coin dungeons is very much a waste, but Tamadra Village is worth the 10M coins, which really isn't that hard to farm.
