I second Poodle, but am going to guess Kuvasz. Assuming the locks are natural and he didn't just pay a fortune for a perm at the local barber before having his picture taken.

There is no real shortage of miscellaneous curly white things, but it's not always easy to tell what they are.

Do we have to specify a size of poodle? From that I think I would guess a miniature. Could be a standard though.

Yup! It's a Bedlington. I love these dogs. They're literally like the Scottsmen or Irishmen of the dog-world. XD

I'll add your point, Quiet, then I'll edit in the next picture.

Right here!

umn...Finnish Spitz?

Maybe it's Lady and the Tramp talking but I always see the Scots of the dog world as actually being the Scotty. Not terrier person myself. I like my spaniels.

Is the Akita Inu considered a breed for this? I don't think they are recognized in North America but they are a thing back in Japan, given how different the Akita looks in the North America to the traditional one. It's interesting to see how different some breeds can look when they become geographically separated. I had an English Springer when I was around 10, and she looked a fair bit different from how they current dogs in the show ring look now. She actually had some ticking, which is now non-existent over here compared to Britain.

My brain wants it to be a spitz.
