Some times spraying cats don't work. that or my cat doesn't know the difference of punishment and a water fight -.-

Even gently hitting on the nose using the firm tone saying, "No"? I have intelligent cat. I always have to say, "Ah-Ah-Nuh-uh!". It's works for me. For my cat of mine. Try different method if you have to.
