I plan to if Dad doesn't have a problem with it.

but Dad might want the car over the weekend. His truck doesn't get good gas mileage.

Indeed, Dad has problems with me taking the car out and keeping it because he needs it too since it's the best car we got and I can't drive his truck, but if he has no plans this weekend I can probably drive up there.

I don't know; when she was going on about the car thing, she asked something along the lines of why you couldn't keep the car for a one-night stay. this implies to me that she got one-night out of my mentioning of your three-day weekend visit. > .>

For a one night stay sure, I probably could unless Dad needed the car that very day.

why is she concerned about the car? she isn't going to have to do any driving.

No, she just thinks it's odd that you need to be dropped off since there are two vehicles. :P

One of those vehicles is unreliable. So technically we only have the one car and the other is a back-up. Also the baby seat is in my car.

Indeed, mom said Dad might have a problem with me driving to Charlotte, but I drove all the way out to Albemarle by myself so I don't see why he would.
