Ah. Well, I only know two types by sight, the mule deer and the white tail. The mule deer has exceptionally big ears and is darker in colour I think.

Are there many deer where you are or do you just have bad luck when it comes to seeing them? I'm like that with moose. They insist on elluding me.

I don't know much about deer but in the first month I lived at my current place I saw three while I was travelling to and from work.

I can tell you only a bit about the little guys and some of the bigger ones from living in rural areas. Elk are considered deer, really big ones.

Mule deer, appart from having big ears, have antlers that grow in little 'V's. The base is like a V, and at each tip of the V grows another V. White tail deer have puffy white tails that stick up when they run in panic and have antlers that look like spikes growing along one main branch out of their head. Looks more like a row of tall pointy teeth.

usually when people see them we are in the car so who ever sees it says oh look a deer i look around but by then we are out of site

Ah. Yeah, that does get annoying. I'm usually the spotter nowadays, but that's likely because I'm not the driver. You get better at it too with practice it seems. My grandfather is a hunter and he can spot them everywhere.

Dx even the driver usually sees them but not me!

I see deer on campus all the time. o.o I don't know anything about different kinds of deer though.

Campus animals tend to get really accustomed to people, at least from my experience from eating lunch with seagulls sitting about a foot away and trying not to kick the pigeons that are flocking on the ground as I try to walk through them. Some of them would get though the sliding doors to the student union building and meander around the cafeteria and study tables.

yeah. they are pretty used to people. I've only seen them in the evenings though, when it's slightly less busy.

yeah but you think something like a deer would just not go there when people started coming around frequantly

And speaking of deer, at one time a deer scared me. Well, what happened was that I was walking to a place to eat and then later to the bus stop. And also this was after I had my drug test for one of my jobs too. Well, while I was walking I saw a deer, we both looked each other in the eyes. And then I screamed because I got scared. But I also scared the deer too. So, yeah.
