Zedge app in the playstore has songs and wallpapers and it downloads then to use

unless you get the song from an official source (iTunes, Google Play, Amazon Music, etc.) or it's in the public domain, downloading it for free is definitely music piracy.

now, I'm not condemning piracy; indeed, I'm all for it. I'm just saying that most forums I've been on usually forbid talking about how to obtain pirated materials.

yup; cuz that would mean that the artist isn't being paid for it, which generally means it's piracy.
