I would of thought if someone had an allergy, they would work at getting food to the family so the person can eat it.. I don't know what I would do if I was allergic to carrots. My grandfather uses a ton of carrots in his cooking and already ticked off I don't eat Cabbage or Mayo, etc.. Makes it harder to plan meals but I honestly will eat Mayo in small bits.. otherwise, I get sick of it.

A tomato plant would not take much room and give a bunch of food.

You can also take potatoes and cover them with a bunch of straw or grass and get food from it, too.

England probably calls their government food assistance something other than food stamps.

I don't think there's any food assistance set up in UK at all. Anyone unemployed gets an bi-weekly allowance that covers food and other needs.

Yea, I know. I get chewed out for bringing the food I like in, even if I purchase it with my own money all because my grandmother whines wanting it. :/ Sometimes I wonder if I'm living with a two year old, she'll throw a fit if I don't give over something I bought for myself to eat cause there's tons of foods she and my grandfather enjoys that I don't.
