so, you know the devs behind the heartbeat rpg? they set the sale percentage to 41%. which, for those of you not in the know about stuff, is the trans suicide rate.

there's also a 35% off sale for the OST, i think? which is. also linked to trans death rates.

Valve does give devs control over the sales discounts, timings and duration. So this is most likely intentional.

This isn't entirely bad, since I'm not forcing myself to stay in a rather toxic work environment, but I still don't like being jobless.
I've already been putting in apps, so hopefully one calls back.

If it hadn't been for past behavior by some of the game staff I would have either chalked this up to coincidence, or thought it was intentionally chosen as a way to honor the people who have lost their lives, especially considering the content of the game itself.

But seeing how a couple of highly-visible members of the team have commented in the past... it's still possible to be a coincidence, but if it is intentional it's for a far more negative reason. Ugh.

on an unrelated note: fuck whoever designed windows 7, it's not releasing the RAM properly. god fucking damn, if i click the X on a program, it is supposed to close and *RELEASE THE DAMN RAM*. not stay open like some 24-hour convenience store.

Life, when you're someone such as myself, is not worth living. I even got my mom to finally agree. What's the point in living when the only thing you'll be doing for the rest of your life is line someone else's pockets and see your dreams get yanked from beneath your feet? Why keep pursuing a dream that you know you'll never be able to achieve because you're too fucking brainless? Why keep putting up the pathetic fucking farce that things are going to get better? Why can't I just stop being a fucking coward and send myself flying off the bridge?

And now for a completely separate rant:

My other avi site gig is abysmal. It seems like they hired me by mistake. I've been "in training" for months and I've learned nothing. No one reaches out to ask how things are going, no work comes my way. I keep asking what's going on but they say it's fine because I'm "in training". What fucking training? I've been here for months and we've had two fucking sessions. Over MONTHS. Not to mention there's been new staff brought on after me and they seem to be fitting in JUST fine. So y'know, guess I'll go fuck myself.

I think it's hard for him too because truthfully, he's very accomplished, but jobs are just hard to come by these days and it's making him feel inadequate.

For my daily awful;
I was supposed to take a class starting Monday.
I was looking forward to it, and had been preparing for it and everything...

But. There was an error on the school's side. They sold me the wrong class (They sold me a non-existent class) and now I am being refunded.

But I'm really pissed off that I can't take this class. I'd been looking forward to it for weeks now.

Now I've got to find a new school AND new class to take... and classes usually start the first of the month. Ugh! >n<
