[Mint]

"Watari, call A and w." L said. "We'll need their expertise."

[Uke]

--Scene Change--

Nate's eyes slipped open and his body went tense as he realized he was laying between two people... however he eventually relaxed, remembering the night before.

[Mint]

Just as he was starting to relax and drift again, an alarm clock went off on the stand beside the bed- blaring loudly. Just as the sound threatened to split the boy's head in two, an arm reached over him and grabbed the clock- chucking it into a wall- breaking it and making it fall silent.

[Uke]

A small smile crossed Nate's features and he turned over, curled up into the boy who had thrown the clock's side, as if to thank him.

[Mint]

"Argh..." Mello groaned as Nate curled up with him.

"Mels, you're clock sucks." Nate heard Matt mumble behind him. "It's six in the frickin' morning...on a weekend."

"Shut up Matt." Mello muttered. "...And get your foot outta my crotch."

[Uke]

"Matt's feet are by ours," Nate mumbled, half-asleep.

[Mint]

Mello blinked his eyes open.

"...Huh?" He murmured while Matt chuckled- scooting up behind Nate and wrapping his arms around the ivory-haired boy's waist.

[Uke]

"It's too early to cuddle," Nate groaned. "I look like crud!"

[Mint]

"You always look good Near." Matt sighed. "You're soft and warm and that's all I care about."

He nuzzled into Nate's back.

"Is that...your hand?" Mello blushed deeply.

[Uke]

"It's my knee," Nate informed, sleepily. "I couldn't put it anywhere else because Matt's is pretty much up my ass."

[Mint]

"I don't doubt it." Mello sighed.

"What?" Matt frowned. "Is that jealously Mello?"

"What!?" Mello blurted.

[Uke]

"Mello and Matt are always bickering," Nate sighed, before he paused and frowned at the words he had spoken.

[Mint]

"Nah, I just know you like it when he's being cute and fighting over you." Matt replied.

"Shut up Matt!" Mello hissed- closing his eyes to go back to sleep.

[Uke]

"...Over me," Nate whispered - starting to think that he liked the idea of being Near a little more then he liked the idea of being Nate.

--Scene Change--

The rest of the kids didn't even blink as Nate took a seat on the playroom floor - deciding to act out the part of 'Near', instead of hiding in Matt's room. He had dressed in a fresh pair of pajamas and Linda had helped trim his hair, grumbling about how she wanted her brother back.

[Mint]

Mello stood off to the side in his corner and watched everyone around Nate- seeing how they reacted. Sure, he and Linda could tell, but would anyone else find him peculiar?

[Uke]

The only one that really seemed to notice was a boy named One - who was always watching Near as it was, so Mello wasn't too surprised.

"Mello," A boy who was always bothering him - Rome - tried to get his attention. "Are you listening to me?"
