Hiya y'all. Long time, no see. I'm still on hiatus, taking care of my sick kitty, Sassy. I thought I should pop in before the end of the month and see if anyone needed to get any runes, though.

Anybody manning the shop?

I miss you guys... but Sassy is my #1 priority right now. She's still eating and not acting like a sicky kitteh (she still does all the normal kitteh things like using the litter box {first thing our diabetic cat stopped doing when he was headed downhill D: }, sleeping up on the bed with me and the other kittehs {she's not fighting with or cowering from any one}, getting "Daddy time" when Eric is home and in the living room {she has her own pillow that sits right between where Eric and I sit on the couch, so we can both give her love at the same time}, and so on. And, she's really good about Eric giving her the antibiotic shot (OMFG, the needle is so big I almost passed out when the vet was showing Eric how to give Sassy the shot :/ *gerk*}.

The only thing she's been bad about is scratching her mouth... she's torn open her upper lip pretty badly, and there's nothing the vet can do about it *cry* It looks so painful, but she doesn't complain at all.

I can only give her pain meds once every 24 hours, but I finally figured out how to get her to take the pain meds without fighting me (it turns out she likes the taste and will just lick the liquid off my finger). I found this out literally the night before her appointment for euthanasia... thank God the vet did an exam of her {at my request} before initiating the euthanasia.

I told him that she was not acting like she was ready to go... she was eating and toileting and cleaning herself and everything. After a cursory exam, he said that as long as she keeps up with normal activities, even with a hole in her mouth, she doesn't "need" to be euthanized. Thankfully, Eric was there in the exam room to hear it directly from the doctor. He has been pushing to have her put down since they found the tumor on Feb 28th.

I do, of course, have to do special things for her, like the way I prepare her food and hold a cup to her mouth to encourage her to drink water as much as possible... and I pet her and hug her and brush her and give her TONS of love. I have five other cats who need love, too... so I have to make sure I'm not neglecting any of them. It's a full time job (which is why I haven't been active these last few weeks), but dammit, it's worth it! I am grateful for every single day I have with each of my kittehs... I'm especially grateful for all this extra time I have been given with Sassy. When her brothers (littermates) passed away (both from cancer, also), I had zero notice on the first one and only a few days notice on the second one. That's just another reason why I have to spend so much time with her, and all my other cats. I have to make sure they know that I appreciate them and love them and don't take a single day for granted.

Anywho, would it be okay for me to just send 60 runes for the whole deal? I know that is 500au more than the cost, but since it's going to the Charity, I think it's fair {as long as you think it's fair} ^_^

And Mr. Bad Kitteh got sprayed with a water bottle a few minutes ago... so when he goes near my hamper, all I have to do is point the bottle at him and he backs off LOL
I don't believe in hitting my cats, so a spray bottle is the worst they get, except in extreme cases. He did jump up on the counter right next to the stove the other day and got one swat on the butt for it. I don't want him up there because I don't want him getting burned.
